Naga Commanders

Naga Commanders just came up, and ended in 1 minute and 21 seconds.

This seems like a pretty filler event. Why do they all spawn at once? Why not have them stagger in locations leading to a major commander like a world boss?

Just makes me think alot of Nazjatar content was half thought.

This part was. I agree they should spawn at separate times and have more health

Having them spawn at set locations is why. People just camp the locations and they die within seconds. It’s just a bad design

By the time I get to any of them after spawn, they are usually already dead. They should be more difficult to kill than that.

WoW has never done events like this well.

They should at minimum have much more HP, though I’d love to see an actual invasion of Ashara’s forces with progressively difficult foes, and potentially greater rewards.

As it is, they fall over dead the second a few people get to them, drop a manapearl or two, and provide a buff for an hour.

Agreed. It seems blizzard massively underestimated player DPS. It looks like the buffed the HP of rares in Mechagon and Nazjatar today but these commanders still seem like a joke.

I never even see them up at all when I do my quests there.

If you aren’t right under one when it spawns, you’re not going to get there in time.

I can usually get to 1 commander. I assume the intention is that they all spawn and everyone just kills whichever is closest to them.

Yeah, it’s a really big tease to see them all spawn and know your prob gonna only get 1 or 2.

I only do the ones near flight paths, or if I do the one that spawns in the middle I’ll need to be high up so I can glider to it. Other than that I don’t even bother to try more than 2.

The Naga Commanders are a sick joke.

Should probably also have a bigger wind up before arriving.
Instead of just on map, pause, pause, dead. It would be nice if you got notice of their arrival earlier so that you could make it to those locations before they spawn and are instantly defeated.

Currently w/o flying, even if you are at Newhome and the one on the ledge spawns you are generally unable to reach it before it dies and that’s like a 2 min run.

If only the Horde and Alliance had someone…like, I don’t know, a mage maybe…who could warn us that Azshara was massing her forces before the commanders actually spawned, so players could get there in time for a tag. It’s a shame neither side thought to bring a mage with them…

I’m actually having a more interesting issue …

My server is pretty much DEAD, I’ve been sitting at a Naga Commander Athissa for about 15 minutes now - Not a single person has shown up, be it Horde or Alliance >.>

This isn’t the first time either, it gets rather frustrating because she and few (if not all of them) drop my Superior Battle Potions Rank 3 … Not sure why they can’t make it to scale depending on how many players are around at the time instigating the fight(s).

As I’ve tried solo’ing them (lol) and it didn’t go as well as I’d hoped, not that my Rogue is weak, but they aren’t meant to be taken on alone. As I write this, I am STILL waiting for some other players to show up, at this point I don’t care if they are Horde or Alliance.

sigh

Yeah I feel your pain but at least you get to see one alive.

This could have been a nice straw in the hat of the design team if they had put a little more thought into it.

next time create group in group finder with title like “naga commanders, alive on dead server” and someone will join

It is very different when you are not playing in primetime.

When I play, normally after 1 am after work, it is a very different experience.

I played in the afternoon, today, seeing them wiped out pretty fast.

It takes me , to this day as level 120, few seconds to kill a Legion WQ objective.

I think in terms of scaling, those Nazjatar rares and commanders die way faster than the WQ level 110 rares.

My record was 3 commanders in 1 run. But that was only because I had flying before most people. Now that most have flying, its back down to 1.
