N/A cant take this down lol

Actually it’s nothing to do with retail and everything to do with elitist mentality you’re part of the problem failing to realize it’s been here from the start.

Do you often sink hundreds of hours into games when you aren’t enjoying a single moment of it?

ok. lol. cool story.

I in fact hate the elitist mentality surrounding classic. It’s my biggest issue with the game. Retail and Classic are two seperate games. I’m simply trying to say that what I expected Classic to be different on, isn’t. Because of elitists.

Nice try though.

Idk why you expected people to be any different on classic that was your first mistake

And on that, I agree with you. I was hoping people would enjoy the game for what it is. Instead we got “MAGE AOE ZF FARM LFM MAGES FOR BLIZZARD FARM” and crap like that lol

It’s basic human nature most people follow the path of least resistance. We have no way to measure skill in a new environment so we resort back to gearscore.

Nope! I wanted to enjoy this one. But I didn’t. Oh well. You can keep your sarcastic, useless comment to yourself next time though.

Everquest is better for being a real game, but i’m probably not allowed to talk about the correct version of EQ to play on this forum. Give it a search and a try though, it’s fun.

of course this game is limited… especially by time constraint, but also there’s enough different elements to make it great, community, individual accomplishments. I like diversity in gameplay, to me this is a chatroom game like Club Penguin. Its bad but its good, I like playing the auction house by flipping things and selling crap to horde on neutral auction house. Dont take it too serious and dont make garbage threads.

I tried a bunch of games in the past 2-3 years i’ve been gone from WoW, Apex, a few MMOs, getting back into League, even Fortnite (no kidding).

Didn’t enjoy my experience, i didn’t keep playing. Simple as that.

Could of left out the garbage thread part. Practice being polite maybe?

But yeah, the club penguin thing is the vibe I’ve been feeling, and I think that’s my problem. I’m just personally not a fan!

it truly is a sign of the times we live in that pure narcissism drives so many. And part of that drive is an obsessive need to seek validation for their own choices. Don’t like the game? Fine. Millions do though, and whining here won’t change their minds. If you quit, many of us are staying. Learn to manage that FOMO.

The heck? I don’t think this was a I hate it ending my sub thread. This seemed like a real person just wondering if anyone else felt the same.

I didn’t ask for you to call me a narcissist. Keep that useless commentary to your own self, please.

That said, yeah. I don’t like the game. I was only opening this up for discussion. Wanted to see what people had to say! Thanks for contributing your opinion, though.

Good advice! You should follow it.

Many people when they spend money in something may be quite desperate to get some value out of it. The fact that a WoW sub is timed often made me keep forcing myself to play when I was burned out of it in the past, even though I wasn’t enjoying, because I am not one who likes to throw money in the trash can, even if it’s not a lot, so I keep playing after I cancel the sub until the sub month ends.

I’m having fun right now but I’m pretty sure I’ll hit that dillemma again eventually.

You can let yourself be hit by the door on the way out.

Try some other game. It is clear neither iteration of WoW is your cup of tea.

I highly recommend ESO online. For the same price you are paying for your WoW sub, you can enjoy the Elder Scrolls. It’s a very fun game.

Players are level scaled to 50/160. Lower level players actually do level from 1-50 and become more powerful as they level. You acquire skill points that can be assigned to any aspect of your character from class and weapon skills to crafting skills. You acquire skill points by leveling, completing certain quests and sometimes they are awarded to you in multiples. You can also acquire them in-game by visiting certain places.
There is no experience penalty for grouping with higher level players – you will have fewer skills and abilities and less power, but you’re scaled to be able to take on the world as-is. Questing is deep and involves some, but not a lot, of item farming. The world is huge and you can level a character completely without seeing or even setting foot on most of it.

But if end-game is your thing, you may have to look elsewhere. There are high level raids and dungeons but nothing in ESO is specifically and end in and of itself.

PvP in ESO is confined to a specific area and is very popular. Haven’t done any myself and I have played since launch.

There are other excellent MMOs out there, depending on what flavor you like: Star Trek Online is excellent; Neverwinter Online, also excellent (especially for you Baldur’s Gate fans); Revelation Online is beautiful, fun and you can fly in it. SWTOR excels in storytelling, but after level 50, it is more of an online single player game than MMO.

FFX14 is awesome, but is a bit of a slog with a 2.5 sec combat CD (this can be shortened with haste). Story is rich and fun; classes are pretty awesome (you can multiclass) and crafting is unique.

Then, of course, there’s always your Steam library. . .
