Her forces plunged the Broken Isles into the Nightmare, and nearly scoured the peoples of Highmountain and Suramar from the world. Brood Queen Vess’tra - a fallen priestess warped into aracnid monster - led her armies to harm hundreds irreparably. Now, she stands trial before those same peoples. What will be her fate?
Join us for a night of casual RP over a case of courtroom drama. For those interested, who want to learn more, see our Campaign Details! Please message me if there are any questions.
A letter finds itself to all interested parties, as well as posted on various forums of political discussion:
Plain Text
A summons address to all interested parties,
By the grace of fate, Brood Queen Vess’tra - leader of the Fal’dorei insurrectionists that attacked the Broken Isles with the magics of the Nightmare - has been apprehended by a volunteer coalition. Governing bodies of the Broken Isles have convened and resolved to hold a joint trial through which her guilt and sentencing will be determined.
Currently, Vess’tra stands accused of:
- Destructive use of controlled magics
- Willful killing
- Causing great suffering and serious injury
- Wanton destruction of property
- Unlawful confinement
- Taking hostages
- Directing attacks against civilians
- Using civilians as living shields
- Firing upon combat medics
The trial will be conducted on the thirteenth eve of Bael’asta and open to the public.
Zin-al Elune,
Lyastei Starbreeze
Priestess of Elune

This will be this week! For our observers in the rafters, it will be a casual RP with a little courtroom drama for conversation fodder! Everyone is welcome!
Thanks for putting that one. Seemed very cool, though I wasn’t able to stay to the end. Very good use of existing assets, and you went the extra mile to have the actual fal’dorei appearance.

Thanks for attending! I’ll admit that the verdict surprised me.
Some images of last night’s trial. As always, a huge thanks to Calnos for being our official photographer!

Within the halls of Dalaran, those chosen by the Isles gathered to cast judgment upon the monster who orchestrated one of the largest offenses against the Broken Isles since the Legion attacked. Brood Queen Vess’tra stood trial before a jury of Dreamweaver Druids, Highmountain Tauren, and the Nightborne of Suramar. Priestess Lyastei Starbreeze argued on behalf of the peoples who suffered by her actions, summoning witnesses who painted the horrors of Vess’tra’s campaign in vivid memory. She accused Vess’tra of acting with extreme and criminal negligence. First Oculus Rhai Shadowsinger, defending the acused, retorted that the Nightmare twisted the fal’dorei’s will into aggression. Vess’tra only wished to help her people before the taint afflicted her mind.
Having deliberated extensively on the arguments, the Jury returned with their verdict: Vess’tra was to live. The final sentence brought upon her was three millennia within the vaults of the Sanctum of Order, and ten-thousand hours of service to be rendered. The crowd erupted into complaints and relieved sighs, a mixed reaction to be sure. Vess’tra’s ultimate fate has yet to be determined, but for the foreseeable future, her life is condemned to the darkest reaches of the Isles.
