Something that had been there for him on more than one occasion. Perhaps it was time to reconnect. Caution must be taken however, as they may not yet be ready to trust again…
Greetings Wyrmrest! This is the first attempt for launching a little bit more cross faction RP for our awesome server in the form of something that has withstood some long standing lore, and of course something that is near and dear to my heart. I’m talking about the relationship and long history between the Kaldorei and the Shu’halo. To be honest, probably the most close cross faction relationship in the world. Which unfortunately because some Tauren chose to take part in Darkshore, has itself been ruined.
With the Fourth War settled, and the world moving on, the need for diplomacy in the wake of the armistice is so important that I think we should exercise a little bit ICly. So here it is…I hereby call any member of the Kaldorei or Shu’halo nations who wish to regain a sense of normalcy that will hopefully have an impact from Feralas all the way north to Moonglade. That being said-if you desire some peaceful and diplomatic cross faction RP, which is my personal favorite, you do NOT have to be a Tauren or Night Elf to attend. All are welcome at this event, as it should serve as a reminder that we are better off working with one another.
Things we will need:
Guest speakers from both sides. Sentinel, Sprit-Walker, whatever. Come speak!!!
Guards/ushers for the event, as weapons should not be carried by any attending. Some that attend this event would be very distrusting considering the recent world events and weapons could make things far worse.
Who: Cross Faction RP for ANY who want to come and witness peace talks between the Tauren and Night Elves.
What: Diplomatic RP as a means of rekindling ties.
Where: The only place that comes to mind for this is Nordrassil. The Tauren and Night Elves have fought and died together on Mount Hyjal more than once. I think this is fitting and should serve as a reminder. Nordrassil itself shouldn’t have too much phasing if I’m not mistaken. Correct me if im wrong. Moonglade as a backup. Easy and pretty locations.
When: 20th of November at 6pm ST.
Why: Because cross faction RP is the best.

I personally think total normalcy would be immensely difficult, but I plan on spectating this.
Granted, part of me also wanted to do something similar to this, but with KTs and Zandas since both are island nations and need to ensure safer waters, but not sure how obliging to that lore would be.

Oh yeah neat idea!! Yeah of course all our races are in such a difficult situation. And we obviously dont speak for all of our associated governments. I suppose its a start!
Nordrassil itself has a little phasing but once you leave the tree, the whole zone is phased 10 ways from Tuesday. Moonglade may be a bit less of a hard sell for peaceful talks, since more elves have retreated to Hyjal for… reasons.
Var would be interested in listening though. He’s had a lot of respect for the tauren in the past - both as allies and adversaries. I’m only just getting back into the game but I used to help do some more cross faction stuff back in Wrath and Cata (shoutout to the GotD) and really enjoyed it. c:

Sadly the 30th is a no-go for me as it’s the eve before Halloween, but I offer the best of luck if that turns out to be the host date! Tauren-kaldorei relations deserve this kind of boost for our community.

I’m going to be out of town this weekend, so I am beyond excited that you’ve decided to (hopefully!) reschedule it! The amazing Za’tiya brought this to the attention of the Silver Circle. I can’t speak or commit for anyone else, but there is excitement in the air and I know I personally am looking forward to it!

Perhaps needless to say, quite a few Silver Circle elves may be interested in visiting and speaking during this event.

I’m very happy to hear there is interest from our pointy ear friends. This weekend didn’t work for me either, so I think November will be better also. I figured doing it before Thanksgiving would be best, so we don’t interfere with anyone’s holiday. As of now this is on and ill pencil in anyone that wants to speak!

As far as Nordrassil phasing & sharding goes, there should be little issue. The only prevalent one that I know of currently pertains to the quest “A Fresh Trauma” for the Heart of Azeroth. It phases the entirety of Nordrassil to account for an invasion of Azerite elementals, and it stays that way until the quest is complete (even if you abandon it I believe). You can check pretty easily if you’ve triggered it and/or have yet to complete it by either visiting Nordrassil or visiting the Chamber of Heart and seeing if Magni has the quest for you!
