DRAGONSCALE EXPEDITION SUMMER HOLIDAY SOCIAL MIXER EVENT
Greetings folks! I’d like to take some time today to let you all know about an event that our guild Dragonscale Expedition will be hosting - and YOU ARE INVITED! Each month our guild hosts a private “social mixer” RP event for our members as a chance for our new members to meet existing members or for our existing members to introduce new OCs! Well now we’d like to invite you all to come meet our members and learn more about our guild! But first let me give you all the important details!

Valdrakken, Dragon Isles - Wyrmrest Accord
REQUIREMENTS:
Discord, TRP3 Addon, Elixir of Tongues, Level 70+ Character
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This event follows a game-like pattern throughout the duration where characters pair up and take turns interacting with each other before swapping to a new person. Each pair of characters will introduce themselves to each other before asking three questions after which they can then conclude their interactions before they rejoin the main group and swap to new partners. These rounds are not timed, however the goal of any good mixer is to try and meet as many people as possible, so your objective with this event should be to have a quick but informative and enjoyable RP interaction that leaves both players feeling satisfied with the experience! 
As our guild Dragonscale Expedition is hosting this event, we will be pairing up all newcomers with a guild member in attendance, and we would like to offer this chance for people not only to meet new RP connections but also to get to know our guild more! You are not obligated to join our guild from this event, but we would hope that we make a good impression on any who attend! On the off chance that there are FAR more non-guild attendees than there are guild attendees, we will not be able to guarantee each round that a player is paired up with a Dragonscale Expedition member but we will try our best! 
RSVPing & Attendee Obligations
Due to the nature of this event, we are asking all those who are interested in partaking that they RSVP in advance to ensure we can establish pairings early and easily! RSVPing will be done through discord and we ask you provide the following:
- A link to your character from the official WoW Armory page.
- A screenshot of your TRP - optional but encouraged!
- Any OOC and IC information you feel may be relevant for this event - will be discussed privately only with myself and no other participants unless you deem it necessary.
Additionally - and perhaps most importantly - with our guild being an openly neutral and non-militant group, we are only welcoming players/guilds at this event who are also non-militant and neutral. Any guilds that are actively engaged in faction-conflicts both ICly and OOCly are not welcome as not only would it not make sense ICly but we are not looking to invite any potential OOC drama into our public community events. We apologize if this may seem discouraging to some players, but we will also look to host public community events in the future that will possibly allow players/guilds of that variety to attend. 
That note aside, if you are a guild officer or guild leader who would perhaps like to RSVP your guild collectively to this event as a chance to turn this into a “guild meets guild” mixer we are very open to this! This of course will require some more discussion outside of the forums, which we will be including contact points at the end of this post! 
FAQ
While we don’t officially have any actual frequently asked questions yet, we will try to address some things that come to mind immediately here for now. If you have any concerns, you can reach out privately at one of our contact points or reply to the forum post here! 
“Do I need to stay for the whole event?”
- While we hope people stay for the entire event, we understand that some may need to leave early. If you are able to let us know in advance, that will be a huge help, but if it is sudden on-the-day then that is entirely okay! We do ask you politely inform your current partner in the rounds of this OOCly and try to, if possible, wrap up your interaction with them quickly before you go.
“What questions should I ask during this event?”
- We will be giving players a list of good preset questions you can ask each other but we also, so long as they abide by the rules of our event, are more than happy for players to come up with their own questions too! We have found with our private mixers that some interactions really open up new and interesting possible questions between certain characters and encourage that dynamic engagement!
“Are there any IC requirements I should know about?”
- Aside from what we mentioned in our Attendee Obligations section, there are no major requirements. This event thematically would be on the same formality level as an office work party - not quite business, not quite casual, not quite formal, but a mix of all three at once! We ICly will have drinks, food, music, all that jazz!
“Is there a discord server I need to join?”
- Technically no. For now while we give this event a pilot run, we do not have a public server for players to join. We will however be asking you all to RSVP via discord, there will be a contact included at the end of this post. There will also additionally be more details within an in-game community that you will be given access to once you have RSVP’d, which will include more event info and rules also.
