Just got off day 2 ptr and as of rn the quest giver npcs cannot be killed…but those poor innocent standard run of the mill npcs, vendors and flight masters from SW, to Goldshire, all the way to Redridge and back, and even Northshire cannot escape, and are doomed. lol

But no matter how hard I tried, the quest givers aren’t affected, so at least that is a plus for the ones against this event.

It can be, but it’s harder for zombies to have every city on lockdown. Just make sure to do some clearing in the area and you’ll probably be fine. And besides after a couple weeks it’ll all go back to normal.

What exactly are you doing in major cities that is so important in a pre-patch event anyways?

Good. It’s an mmo not a fps lobby.

Their sub is more important, apparently.

“Noooo why does your fun hinge on other people not having fun. You’re just a troll”

“Haha, well actually, it’s because world events like this hearken back to a time when WoW was more akin to a shared world than a single player campaign in a shared space. Part of the original concept of a shared world MMO is risk associated with the unpredictability of having to interact with other players. If I’m being honest, blizzard removing this interplay between players and minimizing player agency to do both good and ill tracks with the general decline seen in WoW as a whole.”

Then go to your garrison, easy fix

Guys remember thar you can use your garrison for that stuff

Or War Mode can be allowed to do its job.

Or just wait for blizz that balnces the zombies. Roght now arw very op, lmao.

The zombie speed buff neess to be halfed, and their hp reduced by 25% at least, the same with damage.

The zombies should be week individually and strong in numbers right now that have both

Imo

I saw all the arguments and I legitimately felt sorry for those people until I remembered that it’s a PTR EVENT. In other words:

  1. You don’t need a sub to play on the PTR
  2. Questing and other activities don’t really matter (outside of bug-testing) because it doesn’t get transferred to live

I still feel sorry for them, since many people seem to feel that they’re getting bullied into participating, but it is something that a lot of others have been enjoying and well…chaos is kinda fun so  :woman_shrugging:t2:

Than push for classic wrath to get made if you really wanna play like the old days.

As it stands I bet more people will be in classic than this mess. I know I will be

If it’s on PTR, there’s a decent chance of it coming live.

We’re trying to make sure it’s not as awful on retail as it is on the PTR. Which would include an opt-out through War Mode.

The only opt-out should not be “logging out until the event is over and deciding then whether to continue to sub”.

This event was great the first time so I don’t know where you’re going with this.
