Hiya, So hear me out.
Historically the mythic/pvp gear has been a certain color tint with “extra” visuals/textures/etc added to it.
Lets take for example hunters:
As you can see there are many different colored tints. However, only the white and red tints (mythic/elite pvp) have the extra lightning visuals attached to the helm and shoulders.
Nice. But what if you like the LFR version better? The green tinted armor. While yes, you can get the model…it doesn’t have the extra cosmetic effect added to it.
So what if mythic dropped like a cosmetic item that lets you add the extra visuals to whatever armor of that tier? Same for elite pvp.
I dunno, there are many times where I liked the non-mythic colored versions, but they remove the tints.

See how originally all of the sets had the special glow? That was removed and only the mythic/elite pvp gear ended up with them. The green glow gear was really neat, but there is no way to get it now!
