So i have always been a pvp player. I decided to do pve this season and try mythics. I used my key last night for a mists plus 6. We finished it but missed the timer by like 30 secs. I tried frost i didnt preform all that well. As soon as we missed time the whole group just start to flame me telling me to uninstall calling me trash etc. Is that the mythic+ experience? If so im just gunna skip it. Idk why they was even that upset it was my key that didnt make time
Said it before, I’ll say it again. You can’t have “mythic+ toxicity” if there’s NO MYTHIC+.
Ya i just wanted to try the pve aspect of the game and try to see how far i could get. I didnt know the people that do them acted like that
OP shifted away from PVP to avoid the toxicity only to be introduced to the toxicity in Mythic +
I just dont like the arena balance anymore is all it is as far as not wanting to pvp. I quit in dragon flight with the pally situation in s2
I do not want to doubt this happened, but was it a group of 4 guildies/friends that you invited to your key? The reason I ask is that I feel there are far more kind people than bad in the game. I would find it to be an anomaly if all 4 complete strangers all decided to gang up on you. I’ve been in a few bricked keys and have never seen someone be bombarded with such vitriol. I am hoping this is a one-off for you. And if you do decide to try it (M+) again, I’d be happy to heal for you.
So you performed poorly in content you were unframiler with and called out on it?
You also claim to pvp…have you never interacted with people before?
Someone playing poorly does not create an allowance for you to hurl toxic, vitriolic statements at them.
One guildy 3 pugs and it was just the healer and a lock that started to flame me. My guildy and the other dps which was a rogue didnt say anthing to me they said it was a lack of heals but the lock and healer just went in on me for some reason idk
That’s a lot different than the whole group, but the comments were still inappropriate.
I have done mists before i tried a different spec did you miss the part where i said it was my 6 key?
So lets see if we understand this correctly…
You tried something new in a competitive Mythic+ setting instead of in a casual normal / heroic for practice first resulting in a poor performance by your own admission that then led to the timer being missed. Resulting in 4 other people being impacted.
As a result of them being upset feeling having their time essentially wasted by a party member experimenting with new spec in a competitive setting you call THEM toxic?
Did I understand that correctly? The person that experimented with a new spec in a competitive setting that caused the key to brick is calling others TOXIC?
You may want to rethink your argument there buddy.
These experiences are why Delves are the future of WoW for me. I’ve never experienced this level of toxicity myself since Cataclysm though. Back then I joined a rando dungeon group using group finder, as DPS, and forgot to switch out of tank spec. On the very first pull, the tank and his couple guild buddies didn’t like that I was doing more dmg and getting all the aggro, so accused me of having down syndrome and then vote-kicked me from the group. (If you’re one of those that vote-kicked me … please accept my sincerest apologies for making your tank buddy look a like a total fool.)
I stopped doing group content after that until Legion, where I did a bunch of LFR. Was still toxic, but not nearly as much as back in Cataclysm. Then BFA seemed to have brought back the Cata toxicity, so I haven’t done anything group-related since then, unless it’s with people I’ve spoken to and gotten to know outside the game or IRL.
At this point, I believe the love for Delves shares a correlation with toxicity in random group content. The game is evolving as a result of that toxicity, and that’s not entirely a bad thing, IMO.
So you intentionally went into a +6 key in a spec you wanted to “try out” and got upset when people called you out on trolling the group. You basically wasted everyone’s time.
That’s not something you do in a +6 key at this stage of the season. Go test out your build in a M0 or low key.
How is there time wasted if u still get the vault still get the IO score. It was my key that was bricked. What im saying is the things that was being said is just wierd behavior.
Huh? You should probably do a bit-O-research on how mythic+'s work before commenting and/or joining them.
Timing keys results in more crests at the and IO score which is important to get into higher keys. If they did indeed say those things you claim then we agree its not appropriate.
But the very first action that caused the chain of reactions was you deciding to join a mythic+ to try “something new”
I didnt do all that terrible i just wasnt cranking 1 mil dps like i would of as arcane. I didnt think i did all that terrible just didnt do as well as i could of as arcane. I just try to find fault in myself and not just be like well the heals was bad or whatever. I do agree though that i should of just played arcane
if theres no wow their cant be toxicity either.
Maybe because they expected to push M+ rating with the easiest key this season, and you failed them.
Honestly… this is my major complaint with follower dungeons. They don’t prepare you for the M+ community. The NPCs need to insult and be mean with their criticisms. Follower dungeon npcs should be meaner to the player to help them develop thicker skin. This carebear version of follower dungeon npcs we have now are unrealistic and immersion breaking imo.
(while this is a joke it would be hilarious if i could toggle mean follower dungeon npcs. put a couple “healer???” in chat or something, tank saying “if you pull it you tank it”, dps insulting your low dps just the usual. Some arguments between the dps npcs and the tank npcs about getting the frontals not facing the group after the dps eats it)
