Is this not an open survey for Blizzard Research Group?
it’s a survey not a census.
As usual probably available the to the top 1% since that’s the only players Blizzard care about these days. Personally as far as i’m concerned Mythic+ is dead and has been dead for two seasons now. I’ll do it with the guild for the Vault but it’s not an enjoyable experience like it used to be. Pugging is a big no no. Leavers in 80% of the keys. People leave when the key is still timeable. Not sure what they were trying to do with the new system but it’s a complete failure from A to Z.
I do play mythics, and I may not be 3k, but I usually get KSH at minimum.
They’re trying to create a high-viewership event.
Once the competitive nature of an activity seeds itself in the population, the rest is organically grown around it.
RWF does it but it’s only twice per year, so they need more events with high visibility. Running adds on twitch during RWF is probably worth millions.
Not the case at all. I got it and I’m barely in the top 10% range.
I think it’s something you have to opt into. If I can remember how I’ll update the post.
I can confirm im opted in, dont remember when as its been months, but i didnt receive the survey through my emails (which is where i got the initial info to opt in). Maybe theres a site on the blizzard page but so far i cant find it.
I’ve seen people leave at the first death, and I get it — in higher keys (+14 and above), a single death can mean you won’t time it, so leaving makes sense. But why leave a +5 just because someone made a mistake? We’ve reached a point that players are almost afraid to ask questions as the difficulty of the key goes up, because the group may fall apart quickly. Reality is that some people, don’t even notice certain mechanics, until it becomes a problem for them.
When I run keys, I try to finish them regardless of minor issues. If I know the mechanics well, I communicate them with the group to ensure everyone’s on the same page. In the last two seasons, I reached 2800ish but burned out and got bored pushing that high.
Watching hundreds of videos doesn’t always solve what’s holding a player back, because the explanation might not click for that individual. Ultimately, progression comes down to knowledge in, execution out.
I was in a 2 yesterday with my alts and the tank obviously had no idea how to pull the dungeon. After two wipes me and the healer tried to help a bit in a non toxic and friendly way. I mean i’m in a 2 with my alt i expect people to not know the mechanics and i’m just there for the gear and my vault don’t care too much if we time it or not. The guy left as soon as people tried to help.
The last two season my success rate in 2s with my alts is probably around 50%. It’s imo not normal at all. People can’t learn if group in 2s disband all the time. 2s to 6-7s used to be very easy. It was easy content to progress and learn while you could still do small mistakes here and there. Now there’s no easy content anymore for some players. I think struggling in 2s should not be a thing.
I queued for a 6 with my lock the other day. I’m was doing 1.6 milllions overall and we were not on pace to time the key. We eventually did not time it and i was shocked cause the group did not do too bad. Dps was okayish for a 6. There’s was couple of deaths here and there but it’s a 6 i mean got to be expected I was totally shock that we did not time it.
