Mythic sun king - resto shaman help

I made a post in the Dungeon & Raids thread but figured it can’t hurt to ask in the shaman forum to.

I’m looking for some advice from Restoration Shamans who have killed mythic Sun King.

I was reviewing my logs from last night and comparing them to other resto shamans, particularly ones who’ve ranked as I’m trying to improve. One thing that caught my eye is the Restorative Mists healing on Kael’Thas. Mine tends to be sub 100k combined through both healing phases where as a few of the shaman parsers that I saw had upwards of 400k+.

Wondering if this is a positioning issue (as it has a 20yd range to heal friendly allies). Are you guys aiming to stand right near the platform while Ascendance is up? Or is it something else I’m missing entirely.

You’re probably a far better healer than me, and I’m only 8/10 heroic so I can’t offer too much advice…but I’ll throw in my two cents.

This seems pretty simple though, yes, I imagine they’re hugging the platform, getting innervated, popping lust and ascendance, and spamming healing surge.

One other pretty obvious thing that I’m guessing you’re already doing but I’ll say it anyway–swap out the primordial wave potency for the earth shield one on that fight. 5% bonus healing to kael’thas will make a big difference.

edit - just looked @ your logs, I see you are using embrace of earth. I do also see you’re still using PTC though…I suspect spiritwalker’s would be a better choice for that fight.

Always appreciate the feedback and don’t sell yourself short. Skill as a healer has nothing to do with how far your guild progressed since it’s a team effort  Mine isn’t that far either in the grand scheme of things.

I was also thinking about Spiritwalker’s but unfortunately I don’t have enough soul ash atm to upgrade mine from 190ilvl. The 45ilvl difference in intellect lost through gear probably wouldn’t be enough to overcome the (2x 10sec) buff I’d get. Also not seeing it used alot in the Resto shaman ranks for that fight either.
