Mythic+ Suggested Loot Changes

I think we grind and do things in this game in order to be rewarded for our efforts.

My greatest frustration is spending an hour running mythic+ and getting nothing for my effort.

I think we have all been in runs where someone left randomly, the group just didn’t know or didnt care about mechanics, or at the end of a great run where you end up with zero loot.

Add that to sometimes 15-20 minutes trying to find a group and you start losing hours without any meaningful progress.

I would suggest one change to try to alleviate this pain in a way that promotes good gameplay.

Add more loot based on how you timed the key.

+0 - 2 pieces (if you lower this more people will leave keys that are not going well)
+1 - 2 pieces
+2 - 3 pieces
+3 - 4 pieces

This would promote better play to get better rewards. If I help someone else get a 2+ I get zero reward from it other than helping that player increase their key. Make these changes however and I also benefit from helping them better their key.

m+ already guarantees loot for the party, even if you fail, it absolutely does not need to drop more.

you get a chance at loot + vault credit + io (if it’s an io key)

They should maybe add a currency that everyone gets at the end even if they don’t get loot.

We could use that currency to upgrade our gear, or even craft powerful deterministic gear.

Then, even though we didn’t get an item we are still working toward an upgrade.

And just like OP wanted, the currency would be based on how you timed the key.

Or rather, if you don’t time the key, you get less of the currency. Let’s say 12 for timed and 5 for untimed.

Too insane. It’s not like there would ever be a way to craft gear that is 3 item level below the max ilvl of gear where every secondary stat can be determined as well as has an additional bonus if you so desire.

got to say i dont think m+ needs more loot to drop just needs to have the difficulty smoothed out.

This season’s grind is getting declined from keys all evening.

My favorite part is having an addon that only shows groups that could take me reasonably, being 200 IO over the lead, and still getting declined because “ew, outlaw rogue”.

The group leader isn’t even thinking about you at all.

You are random dps number 174 when he can only invite 2 more.

amusingly enough, that’s largely how it worked originally back in legion S1
