Uhh. no.
10s being easier means you can run into dps checks or healing checks on later bosses.
Basic mechanical awareness isn’t the sole requirement for mythic.

I can’t answer on behalf of the person you’re replying to but if I were to join a group and kill one Mythic boss before it breaks up, I literally cannot participate again for the rest of the week.
Furthermore, knowing that’s a fact makes me less inclined to join a group. I don’t know if my guild may attempt a Mythic raid later in the week or not, or if the random group I join may be trustworthy enough to stay together for more than one boss.
The lockout clearly lowers participation, if for no other reason that you are limited to one group each week.
Which is the reason it’s terrible, honestly.
Recruitment is a nightmare in any mythic guilds outside of HoF and not too far beyond HoF ranked. You are always just a single Tindral away from your guild shutting the doors after 3-4 weeks straight of wiping.
My guild lost 1-2 on Broodtwister last tier, maybe 1 on Kyveza (Which was a nice break between nightmares) and absolutely IMPLODED on Silken Court, because people were simply burnt out. Despite recruiting non-stop, we weren’t able to reliably recruit because everyone was either undergeared (and we couldn’t afford a reclear at that point), or underskilled for the content. Our timeslot was difficult as well (Any PST timezone is hard to recruit for)
It’s not a sustainable mode, no matter how many dozens of incentives they throw at it. They’re simply creating a booster’s paradise here.
I was kinda hoping SL was Ion’s awakening that he has the pulse of the no-life, single game 1%ers and literally nothing else.
I think he learned the lesson for a time, but it didn’t stick.
Hey – we don’t kink shame!
The removal of 10-man mythic/heroic/whatever-you-wanna-call-it has been slowly killing guilds for more than a decade now.
Most people I know gave up on raiding with a guild because its far too much trouble for what it’s worth.
Not that anyone cares, of course.
Yea I get it.
Again I am on the fence. I see both sides of this unfortunately I am not sure what the right answer is to be honest.
Leave it as is and remove Myth rewards from M+ dungeon vault. Decrease rewards (Delves should not be giving Hero loot) and utilize the Veteran track more. The top reward at the end of an M+ dungeon is Champion gear with Hero in vault. Hero level crests available to upper end of M+ to keep people farming and engagement numbers up. Crafted gear can be created to max Hero level with the appropriate crests.
The top end of the game gets balanced around Heroic loot. Myth level loot is available EXCLUSIVELY to Mythic raiders. People who have Myth gear are seen as accomplishing the pinnacle of a social, multilayer game.
Afterwards, minor tweaks to encourage more guilds to participate in Mythic raid. Maybe a guild wide lockout or the ability to bind multiple guilds to the same lockout.
That’s my sincere belief.
What, you don’t wanna dedicate your life to World of Warcraft? I’m shocked.
I’d really like it if they reduced the raid size for Mythic, but the lockout is also something that should be looked at. Current raid lockout is terrible for pugging, if your guild has decided to extend a lockout and you still need an earlier boss, for trying out for a spot on another guild, benched players, etc.
Yup, increasing rewards instead of accessibility is getting shot down for this reason. Besides the obvious boosting monetization they could have avoided but magically did not.
Removing lockouts would be huge boon to RMT.
lockout is fine. Op just doesnt have what it takes. He is weak.
The last time my guild could actually Mythic raid was when Titanforging was in the game. I don’t even think it’s possible for average players to make it to Mythic, the gearing requirements are too steep now.
Good for the people who are able to do it though. It’s too bad we will never play the game together. Fake MMO.
it’s not the gearing that’s the obstacle. it’s the skill and the addons. gearing is easier than ever with M+ and Delves.
M+ and Delves don’t have the trinkets you need for Mythic raid. You’re not getting it and never will.
Making time probably isn’t with a job, family, and other responsibilities.
Just saying, since everybody likes to bring up how hard it is and how it takes a million pulls, that means you need the free time to burn.
??? You don’t need the trinkets from raid to mythic raid.
You also beat harder bosses than Vexie.
So…
First and foremost it’s the lockout and the fact that it takes an organization akin to a bush league sports team. Running a softball team would take less investment than a mythic raiding guild and require fewer players. Locking the endgame progression of a videogame behind a structure like that is ludicrous.
You don’t need great trinkets for Mythic raiding. You’re taking about a few % difference between BiS trinkets and something that’s just decent. Being able to perform the mechanics is what’s going to determine success and failure when you’re in all Heroic gear, not your item level or whether you have great trinkets.
