Blizzard, why have you changed the weekly vault reward to a plus 20?
As someone who is a casual player and does not have the time to play in raids, mythic plus was great because I could hop on and work towards my max vault rewards over the week duration.
This change further excludes casual from playing. I worked really hard since legion to learn how to play in mythic 15s so I could be competent and not ruin the key from my group members, now though its taking so long to get members for anything below 16 (I guess because 16s drop that crafting item) and people are just leaving after 1 wipe or a single missed interrupt.
I am just finding it unbearable right now and I really don’t understand the change (please someone explain it to me?)
I guess its my fault for not being good at 20s and finding them too stressful which is fine, i guess ill have to play something else.
It does not exclude casuals from playing. It’s a fine change as there’s little justification to acquire mythic ilvl for a 15 completion. Yes for those of us who really only did 15s, now we have a higher tier to maybe push. It is entirely possible for a casual to push 20s and even higher (especially as we get closer to the end of the season).
They didn’t shift the reward from 15 > 20, they added extra ilvl rewards up to 20.
It in no way at all effects what you’d get from doing a 15. You’re getting the same relative ilvl power from a 15 you’d have gotten in shadowlands. It’s had absolutely zero impact on you or your time spent. It’s just another carrot to chase for even better rewards.
The new system isn’t excluding anyone. It’s clear you are just upset that you can’t get Mythic Raid equivalent rewards for trivial content. You are still free to run M+ for higher than end-of-dungeon rewards. No one is forcing you to run +20s.
If people accept that they are not going to be Mythic Raiders why do people expect to get top tier loot from M+?
Blizzard felt that the max reward from keys was too easy to get relative to raiding so they better aligned the difficulty to reward ratios between them.
They also adjusted raids to better align loot to difficulty as well by having bosses 1-4 drop a set item level, bosses 5-6 drop +6 higher, and final 2 bosses drop +9 higher.
Pretty soon you just have a little clique of elitists plays on wow. Like a wow club to feel great to be an awesome player. Blizzard never listens to the majority of players and continuously manages to add things that we don’t want. I guess their plan is to reduce the player base to elitist jerks. Have fun with that.
I think they need less levels between 2 and the cap. I’m not saying they need to reduce the difficulty, but they should think about squishing the levels more. A 2 and 3 are basically the same key. A 4-6 are basically the same key and should be squished. A 7-9 is basically the same key. You can also squish 10-13, 14-16, 17-18, and 19 and 20 stay their own key. 19 relevant levels is just too much.
Exactly Blizzard changing the goal posts again… Well sorry but this Blizzard cancel culture towards casual players will back fire when they have no casuals left.
I don’t want to join a guild and raid mythic raids so why try and force me to play at mythic level and take away my max item level from the weekly vault… ridiculous decision making.
They have already made this expansion the least casual friendly expansion in years e.g. barely any world quests etc just a few a week… and nothing to do outside of that.
obviously Blizzard want to make WoW a game for the 1% of players who raid at high end and then take loot away from those casuals that work hard to complete 15s in time.
All i can say is well; good luck to the 1% and enjoy your changes, i will go play something else that i find enjoyable,
