Mythic plus woes

So, I am curious. What are your mythic plus woes?

What inspired this? I have been having a lot of fun on my Frost Mage since I dusted it off. It is nice to see the same fights from a non melee perspective. I had not played him since March and his iLevel was only 387 I think?

I never pushed any serious content with him, as I tend to typically focus that on one toon. I am always one of the last to switch for an alt raid

So I got him up to 395 with Tuesdays cache. Saweet. Got a WC11 key. Double sawet. Can possibly get rid of some garbage trinkets.

Not a lot on in the guild until raid time. As I am a backup to the mythic team (does not bother me one bit) I pull the stream up to keep an eye on and try to pug some keys.

This toons io is garbage, 264 or something like that, but have no fear my io is linked to my main. Surely that will show I know what I am doing right? I assume the rejection after rejection after painstaking rejection was a combination of io and iLevel.

That’s OK though. Let’s list my key. I can’t reject me after all. Wouldn’t you know there was a serious shortage of tanks that night? After 35 minutes I gave up

Wednesday I figured let’s focus on my main. List my 13 TD. And man I cannot stand that place. List it up and have a revolving door of people, this time waiting for heals. Ok this is not going to happen.

Still have that TD key to try later.

Got into a Freehold 11 last night on my main. Easy enough. Until the tank overpulled and did not try to drop stacks. It’s ok though. They realize what happened and we move on. Right up until we cross the first bridge. Tank pulls a group just fine but does not realize they about to body pull another group AND trigger reaping. Oops. Tank died. And went offline. Really conveinant if their net went out right at that time huh?

So what are your war stories.

As an aside ran my WC11 last night and we smashed it. And mage is up to 399 and 550 something io. We getting there slowly.

Let’s keep this light hearted and fun while we share our horror stories please.

I don’t think about the blunders enough to remember them longer than a week.

A Rogue from Quel’thalas losing to me in single-target on my prot warrior and blatantly not doing mechanics was a giant WTF 2 days ago. Wish we could’ve just kicked him.

Idk about woes, I haven’t really pushed hard or tried to find a consistent group to run with, but I didn’t have much trouble hitting an 1100 io score and doing some +13s in time, but some weeks are drastically harder to heal than others. It would be nice if more affixes were targeted at dps rather than just making the tank/healers job more difficult.

I also think the affixes could be better balanced

I mean that Thunderclap though man. Haha. Just kidding that sucks. I can handle low dps. Others can compensate a little. But mechanics are a must. That sucks man.

Yup. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard tanks and healers say I will get a 10 done this week and be done. I will build my key next week.

I grew to dislike quaking quickly on my mage last week again haha. On this guy nk prob swing away. Short of not overlapping circles I can completely ignore it. I agree on the balance part as well.

Got a question,a little off topic .How far does IO scoring go?

More of a nightmare with a twist!

Doing a 10 UR on my resto druid during that quaking week (last week? Eh.).

Start the dungeons, smashing it. Looking good.

One minute in, DH disconnects. Apparently his power was knocked out by a hailstorm. Ok. It’s fine. We’re good. Let’s just do this.

First boss goes down, not a problem.

Fights the maggot group. Group gets absolutely puked on. First wipe.

Finish off the rest of the trash. We get to the second boss. He goes down, nice job!

Smoothly now. We get to mushroom boy. Starts fight. Mage DC’s. Thunderstorm gg. Just me and the two pallies left. We’ve come this far, we’re not giving up!

7 minutes later, get him down. Absolute blast -did we just do that? 1m left on the key. Mage comes back.

Group goes full idiot at this point. Wipe three times to booty pulls. The magic is gone, but we finally pull through.

Trash the last boss. Pity mounts please? No pity mounts drop.

I’m scared of healing +6 and beyond even at 394 ilvl. ;~;

Just the other day I was tanking on my Prot Warrior alt and the healer (Priest) was being incredibly toxic, calling my ilevel trash (381 for a King’s Rest 4, that’s a perfectly fine level) all before we even get into the dungeon.

Whatever, I’ll show him up by being an awesome tank right?

More harassment of other players. Calling the mage a “cuck” and to drop food down for him, etc.

Right as we are about to start I Heroic Leap down the first stairway to get to enemies faster and mid leap he pulls me back with Leap of Faith.

I just backed out. There was no way I was going to deal with that all dungeon.

What do you mean? If you mean how high a key does it track, i assume it keeps going infinitely. If you mean as far as how well does it indicate skill/experience, generally it’s a good indicator of experience. That being said, it doesn’t account for different affixes being harder then others.
