So ive been enjoying both sub and sin but im not sure what to play in m+ ive seen a lot of top sub rogues are currently playing sin on raider io. Does sin just outscale sub or is there a reason at the higher keys 10 - 15 sin is just more favorable?
Likely cause of Improved Garrote + Iron Wire more than anything.
Being able to instantly silence an entire pack of enemies is crazy useful, specially at the beginning of a pull, forcing casters to get into melee range.
Theres a reason this talent got nerfed after all, but its still a VERY solid utility Sin has.
Sub is good, but it can be harder to play in M+ due to the way the spec plays, being centered entirely around doing burst dmg, so if you mess up your CDs, it can leave you lacking with certain pulls.
At the end of the day, play what you prefer.
Now you know why Assassination no longer has shadow dance.
Improved Garrote + Iron Wire = You are legit a monster in M+.
It no longer has Shadow Dance cause you and other idots cried about it and i will forever be here to remind yall of that. Shut up.
Shadow Dance is Sub’s identity and rightfully so. I was there when Shadow Dance was born in the middle of WotLK and it was a happy day for me.
Shadow Dance is Sub’s thing.
Sin has its poisons.
Outlaw has a gun.
Poetry in motion which is why you have revealed yourself to be a great member of the WoW and Rogue community. Thank you.
I play a Rogue. Just cause im specced into Sin does not mean i shouldnt have access to Sub influences if id like. That was the entire point of the class tree and your whole comment is stupid. All specs have poisons, Sin just has better ones. When Sin and Outlaw had Shadow Dance, it was a basic version and Sub still had exclusive access to the upgrades that made it better. And a gun? Sin has SBS and Sub has Black Powder.
Thats not even comparable.
The poison dmg Outlaw or Sin has is miniscule compared to what Sin has, which also includes bleeds for it btw, and several CDs centered around them.
Outlaw embraces the brawler approach, using a Gun as part of its main toolkit and facing opponents face to face.
Sub’s entire thing is attacking from the Shadows, being the Rogue spec that fully takes advantage of the stealth attacks, by your own logic Vanish would be the “basic version” of Shadow Dance.
Did you miss this part? The argument wasnt about how strong the cross spec abilities were (though i am of the opinion that each spec should share something as iconic as Shadow Dance in the class tree). It was about the themes they bring. Vanish has twice the CD of Shadow Dance and isnt even the mechanism through which stealth abilities are used. Subterfuge is. Dont change my words, the Subterfuge + Vanish combo does not play like Shadow Dance. 3 talents just for a worse version of an effect we got from 1 talent before is abhorrent.
