Probably not the correct place to put this but after receiving a weapon I cant use for the 3rd week, this past week, and complaining I started thinking of how the end of week mythic cache reward could be better.
Targeting System - once per week allow players to choose a slot to Target that slot (excluding azerite) that their piece will come from in their mythic plus cache at the end of the week. If during their dungeons they get something in that slot and cancel the targeting then it just goes back to random for the week. Or if they don’t use the targeting it’s just random like now .
Right now you have rng on rng on rng. I have to hope I get my slot, hope it’s the piece I want, and hope it’s a decent item level. If I can Target the slot and work towards it I would feel like I’m not wasting my time week after week with gear I can’t use from the cache. I’m not gaurenteed to get my exact piece, kind of like buying random azerite gear, but I have a chance to get my best piece. would love to hear some input.
Or, when we open the chest, display 3 pieces (they cannot be the same slot) and have us choose one of them.

Random choice would be cool give us more options. Maybe 3 options or more residum instead of any of them. And then add dungeon gear to the vendor at base levels maybe 400 or 425 or 415
Choices in a RPG!? Blasphemy!
Lol right but it would be nice not to feel like I’m wasting my time sometimes
MMO’s use to have mobs that droppd a few nice items. If you wanted a specific item, you went out and farmed it, and eventually got it if you were patient enough. It was enjoyable, a good reason to visit different zones and was extremely rewarding.
Now it seems like nothing we do really matters. Everything drops similar loot, it’s all random and even the random items you get are made more random with titanforging and warforging and sockets and leech/avoidance/speed etc etc.
MMOs are losing their identities and slowly just becoming like every other game that exists, where you just play what they tell you to play and maybe you get rewarded, maybe you don’t. It is extremely disappointing to see.
Everything is a “opportunity” !
Yay they say.
But I say nay.
I want to know a clear way to get what I want.
I don’t want to be.
