Can someone please comment on here a realistic list of suggested item levels for mythic keystones? I have looked online and asked many guildies and trade chat what the appropriate ilvl for specific keystones are and everyone seems to agree that I should be able to do a +15 with 395 ilvl but I get declined for anything higher than a +12. The only +12 I’ve even completed was my own keystone but the group couldn’t beat the timer so I got held up there. Is it my class/spec? Is it bc I’m melee? Was I just misinformed? I’m so lost.
IO score > ilvl.
Work on completing dungeons first and foremost. Try to get all dungeons done in a 10, then work your way up to 11-12 (increments of 2 are pretty easy to do).
The better your score, the more experienced you appear, the more appealing you’ll be
Okay that’s one thing I considered but maybe have the wrong idea of what would be acceptable. That would make sense though, thank you.
If your shooting for 17-18s you will need 2300 rating and above and typically in the 404-410 item level range, That’s all I can help with.
Starter keys require barely any gear tbh
As grizzle said ilvl dont mean much you could be 410 with 0 io and nobody would touch you. Io above all
It’s this. Your IO score is showing as 1253, you need to get that higher to get invites
Thanks guys. I’ll get to work on it.
If you want to accelerate the pace, try forming your own groups and pushing your own keystone. Can’t get kicked from your own key and if you have the ilvl + skill but just not the IO score to prove it, your groups can still be successful
You’re playing a good spec and your ilvl is nice. Try getting the ones below 10 to at least a 10 and then work them all into the 12-13 range. Tuesday resets and we go back to Fortified week. And then you wanna do the same. Try to get your keys all up to 12-13 each (you get scores for both Tyr weeks and Fort weeks)
Able to do =/= able to get people to play with you.
This is because of the way keys are designed. Because there is a high chance of failing with a poorly-made group, most people want to optimize their chance of success and that includes having very high ilvl and score expectations of the people who join them.
For example, you can probably do a 20 SBG in time at 390 ilvl. Is anyone who is 390 ilvl going to get in to any 20 SBG group though, the answer is only if it’s their own key or if they bought a carry.
15’s aren’t that tough and you can definitely do them in 395. It’s just a case of DPS being dime a dozen and most likely competing against higher ilvl and IO score people in the listings. I’d just focus on improving score where you can, and you’ll start seeing more invites.
The game is telling us that we should be able to time a 20 with =405 ilvl.
An 18 with <402.
A 16 with <398.
If your a lower ilvl DPS player at this point, your basically screwed just randomly joining keys. Your gonna be better off just making your own parties. Its just how it is.
Weeks ago, you could have easily got into keys at 395; now your just getting beat out by 405+ ilvl DPS with 2k+ IO even in your 12s they are probably farming for a specific drop.
Its basically the worst moment for your average casual DPS player; its one reason I just play tanks and healers since I know I’m gonna slack because of IRL and I cant keep up with the other DPS and will just struggle too much getting into keys; luckily I like doing support roles.
But yea, you might as well just get used to farming your own key up and down. Its the only realistic way unless you make friends; join a guild, etc.
