Mythic+ Perspective

New retail player here, I am a classic andy that always dogged on retail and never played past WoTLK – I have done all content on the “hardest” difficulty as well as pre nerf from classic through wrath. Anyhow my guildies and friends were hyping up TWW and i finally broke down and decided to try it out. Here is my view on it so far as someone maybe less biased than most.

Mythic dungeons are super fun, really have enjoyed the challenge so far of progressing the keys. I made a Prot War and have pugged all the way to +11 timed runs on all dungeons so far.

My biggest issue i have had playing so far is that gear progression is a bit lackluster when you have all hero gear and are waiting on 1 RNG piece of myth track from vault each week, I currently do not raid as i am a dad gamer with a family and havent had time to try to find a team to attempt mythic with. Mythic dungeons seem like it should drop myth track gear after +10s to continue to push people to play the higher keys.

So far people haven’t been horrible, but i have noticed a lack of cohesion when things go south a bit. Lots of leavers after 4 to 5 deaths even though i have timed keys with 20 deaths before. Definitely is frustrating to have someone lose their key to a leaver within 10 minutes of starting, i feel like there should be a penalty for that – i think losing myth score would be the best way to punish people.

Affixs aren’t too bad but the dispel one is rough seeing as only certain classes or specs can dispel it and poor healers are trying to keep up with my hp bar zooming up and down nonstop and trying to dispel a nasty affix seems a bit too punishing.

Climbing keys in pugs is hard and now that i have timed all 11’s i cannot even get into a 12 at all. Not sure what to do to get into them, i would much rather push with people but i dont have a group that can do 12s and i dont know where to find people to do that – is there a place to look for a pre made group to push higher keys?

I think class balancing could definitely be better, i know there are always some better classes or specs but right now seems like DK, Enhance are insanely valued and makes it hard on other classes to get into anything higher.

As a tank i feel like i just instant die sometimes and im always being told to pull bigger and when i do kicks get missed people die and i get the blame for pulling bigger lol. If i dont have shield wall or last stand avail im pretty much dead alot in the higher keys, not sure if its a skill issue or just how tanks are paper at the moment.

Sorry for rambling i just read alot of threads and felt as a newer player doing solely mythic plus i wanted to share my thoughts.

I think losing alot of the mid key players is a detriment and hope to see some changes that could make people happy all around not just the high key players or low key players
