I disagree. It’s not hard to find a class with lust. Target cap is there for a reason.
I disagree with OP. M+ is in a solid spot. DF dungeons are tougher. You need to CC, interrupt and use defensives correctly. It’s tough when 1 or 2 people don’t. Is it a little overboard on some trash packs…yea. A couple could be tuned down I suppose.
It doesn’t matter. Next week M+ will be super easy again.
Keys that reward the best gear are balanced so that pretty much any comps can do them. If the leader wants to take the best specs, it’s their prerogative.
I stand by not all content should be accessible to all players. Putting in work to improve your character and output is part of m+ and shouldnt be taken away
Next week they will be right back at it. This week might be tough on some trash packs since a lot of ppl don’t interrupt, stun or use defensives appropriately. Alter time is my jam this season!
Well, technically it does level out. My ret pally can burst 300-400k on a boss, but in over all on that same boss pulls 175k-200k single target while other DPS that require ramping damage like Demo Lock pulls about the same numbers over all. Don’t penalize burst because it helps the group with the first 10-15% of the boss health to lower the fight length and not having to be overwhelmed with mechanics.
But all in all it has always been Mechanics>DPS numbers. Id rather have a low DPS that does the mechanics perfectly, conserving heals mana, rather than a tunnel warrior who pummels the boss then dies 5 seconds into the fight.
They’re unforgiving for everybody. Learn which packs you need to save your defensives for to save your healer the stress. It’s a team, your healer alone isn’t responsible for keeping you alive. As a healer I already like this rotation better than last season’s.
This is a huge shock from the absolute freebies of the mythics of S3.
I have seen groups with FOTM take Havoc or Ret or Demo or even BM now and just mow down 10+ mobs removing the need to CC or dispels whereas the team that may take just as long overall will have to know the fight, single out mobs, use interrupts and CCs. Classes with excessive leech like DH vs feral that has to global and cast regrowth. There is too much that allows certain classes to reap much more benefit for far to much growth - it does need to be toned down a bit. All damage should be a lot closer in 30 seconds that it is now or nothing should die that fast.
Well I mean almost every hunter I play with has no idea what tranq shot does. Meanwhile as a resto druid running soothe, Typhoon and Vortex combo, or deciding to run cyclone, bursting cooldowns while healing group and handling affixes. Same for my Disc priest with Dispel Magic.
I used to Disc priest back in MoP and Cata but picked it back up again. Forced my self to relearn it by leveling a new toon and completely familiarizing myself with the class. Not everyone does this and boost a toon and take it in with default specs or dont realize certain ability help the current dungeons and constantly changing between loadouts.
I think this season will end up being “easier” by a good margin, we’re able to select gear with bullions to improve our min/max, couple of items that can go up to 535, more crests per week, no 2nd afix on 8’s which is Myth track gear on vault reward, etc
People are just flippin by not getting Myth gear on 1st week.
Through my experience with healing, the squishier DPS specs are having a super hard time at 10’s and up. I queue with a gigachad ele sham (he definitely knows how to play) and he’s having a seriously hard time in keys like HOI and RLP.
This problem is being masked a bit cause the tankier specs (Mage, Lock, Rogue, etc…) are heavy meta picks right now. But blizzard really needs to buff up the survivablity of squishy specs.
Agreed. M0 is the gateway to doing M+. Allow me and the folks I play with time to learn the mythic mechanics without having to rush thru the dungeon. Let me get the gear I need to make it to M+.
Oh yeah I agree 100%. I main tank on my DH and last season while the group wiped at 25% in Fall on the second boss, I solo’d it on a 17. Now at 487 running through 2’s likes it nothing. Unfortunately they require tanks to have self heals along with the healer. Its a matter of knowing your class and when to use the right defensives to buff your other abilities.
if any old schmuck in s3 gear can do a 10 already (and really good players with a bit of gear can do 15-17s) we’re going to see very, very high key levels relative to the new scaling system by the end i think
