HOW IS FIRE TOP DPS?
Because it deals better damage when 2 things happen.
1:Prio target lives long enough to build up ignite.
2: When other targets live long enough to have the big ignite spread to them.
At the mythic level, the health pools of the adds are high enough that these conditions are being satisfied.
If you drill down by ilvl, you will find that fire only climbs on top when it hits higher ilvl gear. Seems like the scaling kicks in at around the 614 ilvl and above. That, or the better, more committed players (who have better gear) are outperforming lesser players.
All I know is I keep watching my poor Frost (FF) fall down an endless hole lol… I do play SS currently for raid - but dear god I find it to be mindnumbing. I just wanna play FF and it not suck
It’s a raid full of cleave fights.
First and foremost, because Fire always does better than the other 2 specs if targets live longer. As opposed to Arcane which does better on shorter fights.
Second, the handful of folks who are playing it right now at the higher end are likely very skilled with the spec and skew the statistics. Numerically, nothing else has changed to account such a huge differential.
I hope so, I just got 614 as of this vault.
But in general, it seems like some stats are particularly strong and the DR caps are too high for the first season. I have about 2.5 times the amount of Haste as other stats and Haste just keeps simming stronger, to the point it’s passed Int. I’ve noticed the same thing on MM Hunter; which isn’t surprising considering they have a talent that flat out purposefully causes Crit to double dip.
That’s absolutely true. The stat inflation with TWW is kinda crazy yet the actual percentages you get are really low, lower than they’ve been in previous expansions.
