So how has your luck been for getting into mythic dungeon groups as either or spec?
Horrid. No one wants to take Warrior DPS. I can barely even get invited to a 10, even then I have spent hours HOURS nonstop signing up for 10+ keys and never getting an invite. My IO is 1,141 so I don’t think that’s the issue.
As a tank I haven’t had issues. Granted I usually run with a similar group of folks and only ever pug out 1 or 2 dps spots, so my results aren’t really valid. But if I solo queue as a tank I’ve had no issues getting invites.
Pugging a group as a solo queue DPS takes a while, that’s for sure. Longer than other solo queue DPS? Longer than other DPS of my ilvl and rio? Longer than other DPS who don’t enjoy a reputation as a hot meta classes this season? Longer than a ranged DPS who frankly just have an easier job handling mechanics right now? That I don’t know.
Trying to get a pug as a solo DPS isn’t fast or easy, especially if you don’t have the ilvl or rio to stand out from the crowd. It’s hard to get your foot in the door if you don’t have anything on your resume, but you can’t get anything on your resume if no one gives you a shot. A real Catch-22. Your only good options are to slowly grind your way up or find a group to run with so you don’t have to pugs.
As prot, very good. As fury, not nearly as good. Running your own key is a good method though.

As prot it’s easy but farthest I’ve gone is 15 so can speak for anything bigger
I’ve pugged everything thus far. Been pugging a couple 16s and haven’t had any major problems getting into groups but I do prefer forming my own so I can get the classes I feel I need the most like someone with a Brez or a especific form of CC.
However when applying for someone else’s group I expect it to take a while or not even get picked. There are always 10+ DPS applied to the key and Fury is not meta nor FOTM atm 
I generally don’t have much trouble these days (as long as I make sure to not apply to groups that already have two melee or something), but I’m also a KSM and have a pretty high item level (and I’m generally not applying to anything higher than +15). I’d imagine it gets worse if you’re pushing higher keys or if you aren’t as geared.

but nothing bothers me more than a class that can spec that is toxic about your tanking…like OK u tank then lol
