I have been working my way up to higher keys and as I have done higher keys I’m pretty sure I’ve always got a higher key from my weekly chest. The last two weeks I’ve timed a +9 and only got a 8 key in my chest. Is that normal or some kind of bug?
I am very certain the key in your weekly chest has always been 1 level lower than the highest key you completed the week before.

It’s always one level lower, but pretty sure it will continue to only go down by one level if you take a week off and do a much lower key than you did two weeks ago
Correct.
For example, if you do a +20 this week, you’ll get a +19 next week. If you only do a +15 next week you’ll get a +18 the week after. etc

Sorry, I’m so used to doing the same general key levels every week, I didn’t consider that if you did something much higher and then had a period of time where you were doing much lower you would be getting higher keys in your chest.
There are many viable scenarios where the claim that I dismissed could actually have been 100% accurate.

It happens a lot when you do pretty high stuff and then get real busy/lazy the following week.
