It is because it was never intended in the first place. It was only added to allow people who got the unfixable bug of having legion credit get bfa keys. I didn’t expect them to remove it, but I’m happy they did because it was way too easy to just get a much higher key than you should have by getting into a group.

Your key is meant to be pushed, not automatically upgraded 5 levels.

Instead, let’s talk about how the notion of a “dead key” can be lessened. By my estimation, it’s heavily a community perception problem, but there are extreme outliers that should be discussed.

How does deleting your key automatically upgrade it 5 levels?

Community perceptions don’t just spring out of no where. They are based on actual reasons. Maybe sometimes they got blown out of proportion but there is really no denying that some keys are much harder than others.
