If bliz got rid of keystones and/or just made it so you can que for your highest rated key and any key won’t downgrade, a lot of ppl would keep playing. There’s so many people rage quitting because of downgraded keys. Most of my failed keys are supposed dc’s, rage quitting when we could time, embarrassment, and “f it… not my key… moving on.” I’ve had many keys downgraded because of all these random issues. Then I que for other keys and time… along the way, 10 people rage quit, 5 people “dc’d” and 3 people hearthed. Fix it bliz, you know there’s an issue and it’s not working.
Not sure I agree they should get rid of keystones, but I think it would be cool if keys wouldn’t downgrade until after the final boss is engaged. Wouldn’t solve everything but I think it would help at least with those times when your group has wiped a bunch early on and is disbanding. At least you could just start it over.
You’re playing over 20, if it looks like it’s not going to time, why bother staying? I had a 21UR yesterday break because the tank brain farted the first boss and stood in bad. The druid bounced after the wipe, and while it would still have been an easy time, I don’t blame him and didn’t whisper him complaining. Just tossed out a gg and ran another key. Pug life is hard, join a discord or get in a m+ guild.
Dont pug then
I agree, remove M+.
Yea but someone had the 21 key and it was downgraded to a 20. They can run a 20 after and have a dc or some other issue, then they get a 19. It keeps going until they get into the “idk what to do” territory and there’s almost no reason to keep trying that key
Isn’t any key past a +20 purely for rating at that point because rating for an untimed key past +20 the same as an untimed +20?
ya that’s why people leave in higher keys
most ppl just agree it’s bricked and move on in higher key land
Ty for that I couldn’t remember if it was or wasn’t lol
You are right. What I mean is keys shouldn’t be downgraded because someone dc’d or rage quit… IO or not
Ah ok.
I don’t really have an opinion on the matter but I just wanted clarification on what I said before to make sure that was still true etc.
16 million keys run this season… Idk sounds like a lot of people are playing to me
No, because then we would be back to just raidloggers being a thing - and guess what, you want players to play the game you have to have activities for people to do
So you want people who have no idea how mechanics work to do keys in which at one point you’ll just face having to avoid damage or die to random abilities now being lethal? No thanks, with LFR showcasing how “good” people who just queue into stuff as their gameplay I’d rather not have that horrific horrendous gameplay experience
This is the solution, get better pugs that won’t quit but you also have no control over who they are without an extensive vetting system at which point no one would ever want to pug a key with you
You want a non-pug life experience? Don’t pug, and do what Ginger suggested
So you want a specific system in place to be able to dicate for what particular reason a key got bricked? So in essence, you want there to be a system in place where leaving a group regardless of the reason (as you’d have to be the one in charge to state the reason aka. dictate why others should stay, leave, or even complete a key for) would equate to the key staying at the same level?
(For reference, yes it is possible to do something like this and it being a good thing for the game (not what you are requesting though) - but considering one of your “solutions” to a problem in M+ was “remove M+” I doubt that you’d care about actually arguing for such a system but… maybe I’m wrong)
It was my key and thems the breaks. I agree it sucks, but if keys never degraded group finder would be a mess of keys that are potential bricks vs keys that can be timed because they got degraded. I’d be okay with a mulligan or possibly 2 on each key as a safeguard, but they have to deplete at some point for the health of the community. In theory I do agree with you and I even believe that keys should be more like Torghast where you can start the key at any level up to the highest you’ve completed. Problem would be that in practice, group finder would be full of +20UR keys for the weekly.
It’s not queue type content.
Imagine if they made mythic raids queuable. You’d have 20 people all thinking they’ll be the only carry wiping on the first trash pack for a week.
If they got rid of keystones everyone would just run the same 2 or 3 dungeons every week. In season 1 group finder would have been 95% SMB and CoS.
And I think this season would be FH and UR or NL…
Says a lot about the Dragon isles dungeons.
Torghast queue system for M+.
so easy.
Que = death of keys, 99.9% failed keys, and no rewards.
Shadowlands never happened. Also torghast never happened. Dont bring back that horrid place.
If they did I would be uphappy. People are talking about removing them and bringing back the CMs instead. But those CMs were way too easy. So no.
