Mythic Keys

This game could use some work.

I WANT to play Mythic+.

I CAN’T play Mythic+ because I don’t want to spend hours applying to a 12 to be declined because ppl want 290 3500 IO players for a 12.

If I put my own key up, guess what…. I still have to wait for quite a while to get ppl to queue because everyone just queue’s to groups with tanks and/or healers.

If I do manage to make a group for my key, I still get punished because ppl don’t know mechanics or come in my key at 290 ilvl doing 90k dps (likely one button rotation players) and then someone vote abandon’s and everyone just clicks yes. Now I have a lower level key and still didn’t get vault credit.

What am I supposed to do?

I had a 289 unholy dk finish with 67kdps in a 15 wrs the other day. Was truly wild

Not enough tanks? Want to play M+ all day and never wait? Roll a tank.

It’s because blizzard nerfed keys really hard the past few seasons. Now anything below +16 are dead keys.

Keys below 16 are dead because anyone who isn’t pushing no longer needs to do them, it’s got nothing to do with nerfs etc, people are full geared now.

you get max vault credit at +10. I do one quick +10 on Tuesdays and am done for the week.

but i can confirm, i only look up groups with tank and healer. really quick to form that way.

It got everything to do with nerfs, if keys were tuned as in tww s1 or harder people would still be progressing. Even by the end of season players still tried to time 12s, unlike now where a lot of players did it the first week.

No they wouldn’t. People are full geared from bonus rolls, which you only need a +10 to get. We are 3 months into the season. Even in TWW season 1, everyone was doing +10s by now. So this would have happened in any season with the same bonus roll system.

Got nothing to do with nerfs at all.

I mean yeah, bonus roll system sure ain’t helping. However most players struggled with 12s just to reach 3k so it’s pretty darn obvious its a tuning issue that we’ve got dead keys. Make 10s equivalent to this season 16s and you’ll see a longer season where people don’t progress as fast.

You’re kind of missing the point. There aren’t any people doing 10’s because anyone who wants to push is higher, and anyone who was doing M+ for gear has already got all the gear.

There’s zero reason to keep farming +10 keys, even vault is useless now because of bonus rolls, and you can get a full bonus roll much faster just by doing WQs.

Please stop tryharding so hard. M+ difficulty is absolutely fine, it has been the most played season in history. It’s an infinitely scaling system, it’s ok for the lower levels to be easy.

You really can’t put 2 and 2 together huh.
Currently keys for gear falls over flat. By making those keys harder so that the progress for bis gear takes more time you prolong the reason most people play. Thus, making keys way harder than this solves most of the problems.

The 3.4k andys will be dissatisfied that they’ll now struggle with 10s, but they’ll have much more of a reason to push it.

I’ll tank for your keys if you like

As long as bonus rolls exist this achieves nothing, the reason people have stopped playing +10 keys this season is because they already bonus rolled their way to BIS. Making keys harder would have done nothing to change this.

Anyway, it’s very clear that this is really just about you wanting an excuse to disparage people with lower .io than you. Pretty pathetic really.

Floweret, I salute you for tanking as an orc lady. WE need more of them
I tank as a tauren lady and love it.

I strongly disagree, pugging is no big deal. Had one key vote to leave cause healer couldn’t keep tank alive but also think tank was really a DPS trying for fast q’s cause they couldn’t hold threat to save their life

Run your own key and stop crying. No, every key will not be one you need for IO, and yes, you’re going to deplete sometimes. Enjoy the game and stop fixating on number-go-up.

FOTM is the worst possible way to build a M+ group but its what 99.5% of all groups are built on.

People will take a 0 parsing Fotm character over a significantly better player of any other class because they are idiots. Then be shocked when the run is trash because the FOTM character was so reroll with terrible gear statss, no personals, and a disgusting sense of entitlement.

This has truly devolved into one of the worst seasons ive ever experienced over 12.05 and 12.07

No, they won’t. They just don’t care enough to check logs on every person that applies. If logs appeared in the LFG window they would absolutely take that into account.

You also don’t seem to realise that a very big part of why people take FOTM is because that is what the routes are built around. The routes that people follow are designed with having an Aug in the group, with having a DK in the group etc. If you decide to take someone else, then you may need to adjust your route, which puts more work on the tank’s shoulders and can be avoided by simply taking FOTM class and not having to bother.

Thank you for proving my point! See how you contradict yourself immediately. THEY DONT DO THAT, but also they do and here is the excuse! L.O.L.

There is no necessary path requiring the fotm. Someone told you to do something in a video and that’s the only possible thing you can consider doing. A DK pulling in a caster or them getting silenced and running in is a difference of 1s.

There are some warlock shortcuts that are amazing but warlocks aren’t top 3 anymore because those shortcuts just aren’t that important or impactful and good tanks have multiple routes, because its not anymore burden on their shoulders to get a route from a database.

Make up excuses all you want but they will only ever be excuses.

I recently geared up an alt spriest and arms warrior.

Honestly I didn’t notice much difference in how long it took to find groups between the two as I was farming crests/mythic drops starting from 270 ilvl. I filtered the groups I was requesting so as to not double dip too often, left room for lust not expecting to be invited, ignored melee filled groups on my war, ignored physical apparent comps on my priest.

Once I passed 285 and was pushing up to 16s I found I started getting invites quicker because I was already filtering the way I should have and not just treating it as a “apply to everyone” game. After 288 invites come incredibly quick

… not saying comps / meta / routing is the reasoning, I agree with you, but people definitely have a tainted perception of how difficult it is to find groups / gear in a time efficient manner pugging m+, sure inviting a spriest to a 12 is fine no matter the comp, but plenty of people wont take a spriest over a lust class for the 5th slot, just like they wont take a warrior with a mistweaver and 2 melee dps. Thats basic “common knowledge”. Routing and defined meta isn’t a thing until 18+, group composition is always relevant and is generally a mark of a decent group/leader, doesn’t mean it has to be meta, if anything the groups I joined that happened to be meta chasing physical comps ended up having the worst players… because they were like +15s and obviously they felt they needed to over optimize for content we outgeared.

If people stop wasting their time applying to comps that their spec doesn’t fit… at all, they’ll stop wasting their 5 slots and be able to find a group quicker.
