Mythic Key purposely ruined by others

The tank pulled 1 pack, stood in sanguine on purpose, died and refused to rez. No the tank didn’t DC. It just sat there. WHEN is Blizzard going to do some sort of punishment system for people like this? Yea I know I can always go run the lower key to get it back up, however, that is 30minutes or more that I have to redo now because some jerk decides to purposely ruin keys.

When you pug, you run the risk of a stranger ruining your key. Whether it’s intentional or not, that’s what you signed up for.

There are good players and there are bad players. There are tools available to help you make the right choice. If you choose not to use them for any reason & want to rely on luck, these things will happen.

He had a good M+ score, just decided to be a jerk I guess… There should be some form or system in place IMO.

The issue with any sort of system like this is that it would almost necessarily catch innocent players in the crossfire.

What if that dude’s internet decided to crap the bed and he was lagging out like crazy and on your screen it just looked like he was standing in one spot but on his screen he was moving out of the sanguine. Not saying that is what happened, but it could have been, or it could happen in the future. Do you want people who have issues pop up like their net crapped out, or needing to run get the front door, or their cat knocked their drink over, etc. to get punished?

I feel like it’d be incredibly hard, if not outright impossible, to design any sort of punishment system that also doesn’t punish innocent players who simply had the bad luck of something IRL happening mid dungeon.

To be clear, the idea is a fine one, intentional key leavers are scum. I just don’t know how logistically they could make this sort of system without punishing those who don’t deserve it.

Ideally this idiot would be done for griefing but we all know that’s never going to happen.

There is. Don’t pug. Play M+ with friends and guildmates as Blizzard stated was the intent from the beginning. They said from the moment M+ was announced that it was intended for organized groups.

Pugs are risky and Mythic IO score means nothing. If you create a group for a Mythic dungeon, if the tank, healer or dps is not eager to get into the dungeon ASAP, especially when they are summoned at the stone and take forever to accept it or not at all, either disband the group or remove that player. (if your key is important to you) If they are distracted in real life, then they aren’t going to be focused in the dungeon. Go even further, ask questions before you put the key in too. If they don’t respond with information you feel is important, get rid of that player. It’s your key, your group. Anyways, It’s best to meet people through communities and form a team of like minded people, it takes time though, but it’s worth it. Also if you are serious, there is always discord so you can actually talk to the people you are playing with.

Maybe he fell over dead due to deep vein thembrosis that lead to a pulmonary embolism and sudden death. Think outside the box

It could have honestly just been a DC. Or something came up where he had to leave unexpectedly. I can’t imagine anyone just goes in with the intent on ruining a key 1 pull in for no reason.

Although I have once had someone apply on an alt of theirs and get declined, which made them upset so they apply on their main that was higher IO, and purposely throw cause their alt got declined. Meanwhile they are trying to apply to a 15 at 202 ilvl

I love my Pugs (dogs), I hate in game pugs.

You know it’s just a matter of time…

I would probably checkout classic of there were. Might be good.

The problem is there isn’t a system that can’t be abused in some way.
