Mythic+ Key From Tier 11 Delve - That's An Ill Omen

Yeah, delves fall off at a fairly early point and you’re meant to move on to continue going up in ilev.

So being able to get 675 gear every 2 weeks on top of two Hero track pieces isn’t supporting Delves?

What’s wrong with some of you?

Sometimes I absolutely hate this dev team.

One piece if they’re lucky. That’s why I said they have to graduate if they want drops.

Each pillar has always been a step into the next. It’s always been a ladder.

wat?

I can’t get 675 gear from Delves, as far as I know.

Can you tell me more about that?

Spark + 60 gilded crests you get from 11

675 piece every 2 weeks

You can get 31 Gilded Crests a week from Delves.
60 Gilded becomes one Enchanted Gilded which can be used to make a 675 piece of gear including weapons.

Much like the advent of flying, I believe they have realized that they’ve created a monster. The keystone thing is just regret made manifest.

“Don’t play the way you want to play, play the way we want you to play.“

Except for the fact that you cannot delete the key or the quest until completed.
So, you go the next 20 years with that key in your bag and quest in your logs if you choose not to do it. Thus, the people’s perception that Bliz is “forcing” them.

You can pick up a M+2 key without ever having to do a Delve or a M+ from the lady in the M+ portal room. Dunno why Bliz didn’t put that in the quest instead of awarding a key that you cannot delete.

I think it would be much better if Blizz showed them where to pick up a key instead of “awarding” people with one that cannot be deleted.

I mean they give you a quest to do the raid

Are they trying to force people to raid because of that?

Oh NO!!!

No, because the quest to do the Raid is actually a quest to do a solo scenario.

You can do the raid if you want to. Or you can talk to an NPC, get in the make-believe raid with a team of NPCs and solo Gallywix for quest completion.

Just solo a M2 then

Ez game

The current delve content maxes out with HC gear, so it makes sense they would point to somewhere else, just so you know there is more.

Once maybe delves will have more difficulty levels, but until it does not have, it makes sense imo.
Tho I honestly dont believe this will come anytime soon.

New players are first introduce to delves, not m+. It makes sense they would continue to gear from those, as that is place where you can practice alone and still gives pretty good gear even early on.

But by tier 11, they clearly can clear an m2, so thats why the pointer.

You can get enough for an Enchanted Gilded each week from Delves alone. That’s enough to craft a 675 piece every two weeks, as Sparks permit, with Gilded to spare. And I’d even argue crafted gear is better than Myth track, save Tier pieces, since you can guarantee that it’s to your preferred statline, and with Embellishments to boot.

I think I’m going to item restore the Alchemist Stone I made earlier in the season so I can recraft that to 675 to iron out my trinket slot, and then the rest I’ll fill in as I go along. Neck can be recrafted next week, too.

I think Delves are plenty supported. Heck, the inclusion of Gilded in Delves alone is huge for those sticking with Delves exclusively, since you’re now guaranteed a huge chunk of Gilded as opposed to S1 where you would, very seldomly, have a trickle of 3, as Bounties allowed.

99% of my gearing is from Delves, and I’d like to say I’m pretty stacked for what I want to do this season. The obstacles in front of me for AotC isn’t gear, I’ll say that much.

I stand by my take: They should work on increasing the total ceiling for Delves, make it harder and more challenging for greater rewards. If they’re wanting to keep it as a thing, let’s make it a proper pillar instead of this weird ‘oh it’s a pillar but it’s not as tall as these other pillars’. It’s just compromising the whole support.

I understand them kinda easing their way to that though. Brand new thing and all.

Anyway I’m gonna do the quest just because it’s an easy 15 Gilded. :stuck_out_tongue: And then, barring a quest repeat, I’ll never touch the mode again.

You get 2 widgets when u get the quest. You can abandon the quest to delete the key fragment quest item. You have to wait for the actual key to disappear in 7 days. My understanding anyway. I’ve ignored both items.

You can also queue up for the raid (or do it solo) through LFR. You cannot queue up for a M+ through LFG. The amount of people that are going to get passed over trying to complete this is going to be daunting. There is already so many toxic players in M+, now you want to throw people into the mix that have no clue about the fights or take the time to watch a video.

Are you going to take these new M+ players and show them the ropes? Patently explain each fight and how to be a team player? If not, then you are expecting someone else to do it. If no one does it, it is going to be a bad experience for everyone invlolved, I think.

I think, more than anything, this isn’t them saying that players should graduate from delves to m+.

I think it is them admitting that M0 really doesn’t have a place in the game anymore and might just be removed altogether.

Force is too strong a word. More like social engineering through incentivizing. There’s no reason that a mythic plus enjoy your sinking 50 hours a week into high keys shouldn’t have steady access to mythic gear. Instead, it’s drip fed through the vault. Delves are no different. You are drip, fed heroic gear, and given a pittance of gilded crest and pointed higher up.

“Graduation“ is a good word. They want separation to have friction. I disagree with it, but it’s their game. They can do what they want. All we can do is provide feedback.

again, that’s something you are choosing to infer. what about delves makes you feel that they’re “less than” other types of content?
