Mythic Item Level Gear

I have been playing World of Warcraft since the start of Shadowlands. I am mostly not in a guild anymore (if i am its for the hearthstone cooldown) and pug raids/keys with small friend groups. I complete heroic fairly quickly (and usually only for gear/crests to do keys with) in the season but have only recently (in Dragonflight) tried my hand at mythic raid. I mostly spend my time doing keys as i enjoy them much more than raiding. I pushed fairly hard in season 3 of dragonflight (pugging with only 3 core members) and was able to get into the 26 range of keys as tank and tried mythic raid as dps. I only completed a couple early mythic bosses but they felt much easier than most 24-25 level keys (prior to the key level squish).
With that information in mind i thought i would ask why there isn't a system in place to allow people like me who have odd work schedules and cannot commit to a mythic raid roster/lockout the opportunity to receive some amount of mythic loot from mythic plus. I do understand you can spam mplus and having it in conjunction with mythic raid would bloat the mythic gear acquisition. I was wondering if there could be a system in place that could allow players to choose if they would like to receive mythic loot from either raid or mplus for the week. You could also limit the amount of mythic level gear you receive for the week from keys along with a key level requirement for when they could drop. This would still allow people to choose to do their mythic raids for the week and get gear from it if they want. I am not a game designer/developer nor am i trying to start an elitist mplus vs raid debate, but it was my thought i felt like sharing.

It’s usually just called the Vault, where you can get one guaranteed piece of Myth-track gear per week if you progress far enough in the Mythic raid or far enough in keys, while also being supplemented by the highest tier of crests going into making crafted gear at a comparable item level.

This is true but keys and raid are not the same in comparison. Every mythic raid boss drops mythic loot along with giving you an option in the vault.

Yes, but they can drop nothing that you cannot use at all, as well as the things you can use may be down to a roll between you and several other people, considering the drops are split among 20 people.

While every mythic boss drops loot once per week and only once per week, your chance of getting an item (let alone a usable one) is never guaranteed. M+ guarantees you will get drops (their usefulness may vary) every few runs, if it gave out the highest loot it would be the matter of infinitely running M+ for BiS.

If you have enough gold you can actually guarantee you will get gear in mythic raid but that is beside the point. I addressed the mplus spam and drop chance in my post albeit not very thoroughly. I figured it could be a useful idea if they decided to implement something.

Ah. Well, I wouldn’t really count paid carries or buying (or bribing) loot as part of normal progression, as that’s more of an outlier than the norm.
