Mythic+ is the WORST mechanic added into WoW!

Not only has Mythic dungeons ruined the balance of PvP, it has also ruined the purposes of raiding and the point of regular dungeons!

From what I hear Mythic+ was implemented to create a competitive style dungeon for those with not as much “free time” for raiding but to also give those very players a chance at “decent” gear.

You want to pvp? Your best bet is to do mythic+. Want to do a raid? You have to do Mythic+ You want corruption effects? You have to do mythic+ .

Mythic+ this Mythic+ that! MYTHIC+ is just flat out bogus!!!

Mythic+ is forcing players into a corner so they can play a specific way just to attain viable gear to do what they like most in this game.

I worry that even with pvp vendors returning Mythic+ will still have that impact on PvP that creates this unbalance.

YOU GUYS BETTER GET SHADOWLANDS RIGHT! I and many other players won’t be as patient with SL as we were with BFA. THATS FACT!

Post speaks for itself. Mythic+ has way too much of an impact when it comes to gear progression. Especially with PvP

I enjoy M+ a lot and am glad it exists.

Before M+ I used to PvP 99% of my WoW time, but it felt worse and worse to me since MoP (where I think WoW hit the PvP hights of it’s entire run).

I will now say that it is hard to do both for me, as a casual player. So M+ is where it’s at.

The mistake is : MoP had PvP gear and M+ gear would be meaningless in PvP. THIS is how it should be.

I happen to like mythic plus. When the mood strikes me I Loke tk challenge and push myself. See what I can time and whatnot.

And I enjoy seeing people play at upper levels of plus as well. Watching people time 22 and whatnot.

Yeah, it’s trash. The game shouldn’t be designed around competitive 5 man content that offers unlimited gear. So many problems in Legion and BfA have been caused by Mythic+.

It’s the best thing to happen to this game. Raiding shouldnt be the end all of player progression. Raiding has had a worse impact on this game than mythical. Raiders are the reason pvp vendors were pulled because “they felt forced into pvp to fill in gear slots”.

Yeah, I really miss PVP gear.

Maybe if they had a specific pvp stat again, but not resilience. Maybe a “PVP Mastery” stat, in which increases DMG/Heals/Health % in PVP instances or Warmode.

Mythic+ while fun for a lot of people is bad for the game imo. It’s way too important to gearing. Harder mechanics/affixes are to make up for bad/simple class design. Raiding isn’t as important.

You’re forced to mythic+ if you want to stay competitive with other players in any other content, including PvP.

Mythic+ as a system is a fantastic boon to WoW and frankly it needs to be copied to other traditional MMORPGs. FFXIV could benefit greatly from it, as they too often have extremely limited dungeon content at any given time and too much entry level content vs higher end content in general.

That said, yes, the current implementation presents massive problems, even if the system itself is a good thing.

The fact that it has no lockout and no diminishing returns on rewards while scaling up to somewhere between Heroic and Mythic Raid ilvl is pure insanity. Literally nothing else above 415 ilvl functions without some form of lockout / time gate. NOTHING. Mythic+ drops highly competitive gear, rewards Mythic quality gear weekly, but comes with none of the restrictions similarly rewarding content has. I’d also argue that it’s significantly easier to be successful in vs similarly rewarding content, but I know that’s subjective and depends on who you’re playing with.

There is no reason to gear via any method but Mythic+. Well, short of a raid funneling their loot to you and stacking armor classes to do so, which is unrealistic for the vast vast vast majority of players.

Raid Progression used to be a 4ish month ordeal for me and my peers. We’d progress slowly, gain gear every week, overcome more bosses, until eventually we’d either win or the tier would end.

Now I just spam M+ for about 3 weeks of not-quite-casual-but-certainly-not-hardcore play, get near-BiS gear, then hop into a raid pug and get AotC in a night. That’s literally what I did this tier. Geared up. Queued for N’zoth groups with zero prior Heroic experience. Got invited because of my high ilvl. Killed it within a couple hours in the 2nd group I tried. Looks like I bought a carry because I still haven’t even bothered with half the bosses in the raid on Heroic.

I hate it.

Mythic+'s efficiency needs to be cut down drastically.

Alternative gearing paths are totally fine.

But the difficulties needs to match, and the gearing pace needs to match.

One path should not invalidate the other paths.

M+ currently does.
