I was doing Underrot +11 and specifically put into the description that this isn’t a timed run. It’s just to learn and move on!
Guess what? Someone left because the time ran out even though we were one boss away from finishing.
I MSG him “dude why did you leave, did you read the description?”
he message me back " I don’t care"
I looked at this achievements, dude hasn’t accomplish anything in the game worth mentioning. Has over 300+ arenas wins and still 1550. Hasn’t killed a single heroic boss in any raids in BFA.
I hate to tell you players out there with this type of attitude, if you aren’t willing to learn from failures. You will NEVER AMOUNT TO ANYTHING.
The sad truth is that Mythic + especially 5-12 are filled with these types of players. Who think they are soooooooo good and that no fault is part of theirs. Or they just want easy carry.

In all fairness you really coulda looked him up beforehand. Hell the raider io addon woulda immidiately told you he never killed BfA bosses (I never take people that havent killed current raid tier). Wouldn’t even need an external site.

I put in the title things like “ranged + heal” and I get a list full of melee DPS apps, with mostly havoc DHs.
Apparently reading is becoming increasingly hard these days.
And yes in general most 11-14 groups will be worse than most 15+ groups, because everyone thinks they deserve to be at the front of line just for logging in. By the front of the line i mean the max weekly reward cap at +15. Something like a +13 might as well be considered LFR to them, even though it’s only two steps down in difficulty.
For example I made a FH 13 last reset and invited a 465 ish hunter. He had a 2.5k main score and multiple 15-16 timed runs on the hunter itself. At the end of this FH run he did 34k overall, without dying once or dealing with any special mechanics. How ? I don’t even know anymore.

I learned that the hard way. Recently came back to BFA this patch, randomly qued for a 10. Hadn’t seen the new affix, did very well but a few players in the group including myself made tiny mistakes and the tank made a big speech and left. He said things like people don’t know how to play their class etc… My IO was higher than his in past seasons this expansion LOL.
What I got out of it is do not pug… simple as that. Stay with your guild because the pugging world is awful.

I can attest to this, list a group for visions with the rank and often get those under the rank applying.
I work my way up, but so many seem to want to jump to the end, like +15 in M+. 5 mask in visions though here sometimes they will dial it down a little. What happened to the journey being the main part instead of the destination?
Like everything else in our instant gratification society it was forgotten.
If you choose to play in that world then you have to accept the consequences. There’s nothing to be done.
I like to give folks a chance but I get burned all the time so now it no longer surprises me. I had a +7 key fail to 6. Next run the 6 3-chested to a 9 so all good.
I don’t do anything of much substance on this game anymore…no raiding, no arenas, no solid group content of any type really. I am reduced to pugging if I want to do the good stuff, and this is unfortunately the reality of pugging. Usually I’ll get decent enough people, but once in a while this happens. Like others said, getting a familiar group to run with is your only sure bet.
On another note, I hate the IO score system because it doesn’t say for sure whether or not a player is good. Some really great players out there don’t have that score up at all, and some solidly mediocre players can have 2k. But on the other hand I do see why people use it in the pug world. If someone is above 1k, they generally at least know the dungeons.

Yes i agree. I just take my chances now. Started a 10 key this morning it did not go well at the start. Then the demonhunter whom begged to get in goes all toxic blame the healer(me) for not healer through explosives or raging even, I soothed on cooldown btw. I refused to stay and get abused for 40 minutes lol. Disband and move on is what I say now.

I like to give folks a chance. Yes I am a sucker but groups run easier for some classes than others and I get that soooo things go bad sometimes lol.
LOL it’s always the healers fault, no interrupt? Healer didn’t heal through it. 1 shot? Why did you let me die? Explosive going off? Hello??? Heal harder…lmao

And now we have a lovely sanguine + grievous week.
It’s painful for tanks…
And it’s painful for healers.
And we can enjoy both tank-capable (mostly havoc DH) and heal-capable DPS players (mostly DPS sham/druid) with zero tanking or healing experience critiquing our every bit of tank and healing performance without of course trying it themselves.
Protip: If you get a troll dagor key this week go throw it in a volcano.

Tol Dagor i believe becomes trivial with the Brew master statue for the first boss.
I’m not talking about the first boss. Everything outside is trivial so I suggest pulling everything hostile for count. The pain starts as soon as you enter. Then the pain ramps up to 15/10 when you fight the blob with his mix of sanguine tentacles (which look like purple) combined with his purple AoE. Nowhere to run except a slow painful inevitable death.
This is a big trap from my experience. Some of the worst people I’ve done m+ with are raiders who don’t have much m+ experience. Raiding is not m+, and vice versa. I haven’t downed heroic content since Uldir, simply because I don’t care to raid.

Totally agree, lol.
While I haven’t totally pugged to 2k IO, I have pugged pretty much all my 15s and 16s and got my achieve and mount. IO may not be the best, but it gives a decent enough picture of what they have done. If they got carried then not much you can do about that.
Translation: not a “push week” it might be possible to push, but likely better going for clears at any thing after a certain level.
Pushing is still possible in most cases, including shrine which everyone is scared of for some reason even though its a billion times easier with obelisks.
Just stay away from troll dagor.

Source of fear is the 2nd and 4th boss…neither of which are particularly hard. 2nd boss just involves actually paying attention to the mechanics and having a tank that knows how and when to move the boss with a priority on clearing stacks in the correct protection ward for dps and healers. 4th boss just involves properly utilizing the space of the room and making a priority to avoid tentacles slams (which are very avoidable). Most groups try to zerg both fights only to discover that these mechanics exist with no idea how to clear the detriments
