I understand this is like a -1/10 on the priority list, but Mythic HA is not soloable. There isn't a class in the game fast enough to be able to stop the grunts from destroying at least one of the cannons.
It would be nice if they did less damage, I like being able to solo my xmog runs.

I actually agree. I mean maybe a hunter with later raid gear....but yes i agree with your statement.

Just tried it myself at 120 as a warrior. Beartartar being useless now has made this very hard to say the least. If Blizz is looking at this, PLEASE for all that is good in this world, make a new beartartar for BFA we can use that isn't useless.
MIGHT be possible with clever use of the spawns, by keeping them alive/aggro'd and slowly killing the siege, as to not proc waves and waves of adds killing your cannons.
Nonetheless, EXTREMELY annoying and I gave it 3 attempts before I said !@#$ it, better things to do. QoL to "trivial" content is very important to me and I'd wager many others. Would be great if they made it more easily solo'd.

I think only monks and DHs have sufficient mobility to solo. Best way to fix it would be the fight continues until both cannons are destroyed or door is destroyed. Then you could ignore one cannon and just protect the other.
I have to agree 100% on this. The problem isn't one of output or execution. Its a mechanic problem. I can't be in 2 places at once (even with traps and pet).
They usually alter trivial content that have prohibitive mechanics/design to be soloable so I suspect this too will be looked at in a patch.

I always hated mythic hellfire assault. I still think it was the worst raid encounter I ever experienced.

It is rather ridiculous that this encounter is gated behind being unable to maneuver super quickly to catch the tanks. I mean, it's now possible to solo the forge in blackrock foundry on mythic, but this is still impossible
If you join a group for this fight and leave right after the first boss, would you be able to finish the rest of the raid solo? I tried it once a year ago & the instance kept teleporting me out.
Tried several times the other day and then just gave up.
seems they need to tune this fight for solo players now.. it will take a while.. there's no reason why this shouldnt be soloable by now it's 2 expansions ago so it's legacy content now.

No. Minimum 3 required to kill him due to reset bug he gets. Anyone who says different is lying or exploiting something I'm not aware of.

It is soloable.
He doesn't cast shadow of death when there is only one player at the start of the encounter. If 2 are alive at the start of the encounter, he will cast shadow of death on both causing a reset. If there are three people, he will still cast shadow of death on 2 people, but one will remain uptop so the encounter does not reset.
The way to do this with 2 people is to have one person that can solo it be designated to stay alive. The other person then needs to tag and jump off the cliff at the back as soon as possible to prevent the shadow of death cast.
Well. Here is something you can do to solo it, but this is rather evil and could get you hated by a lot of people so fair warning. Start a group to finish the first boss. Once the first boss is done, kick the people who helped and continue the raid. This will cause the people who came though to be unable to do mythic HFC for the week due to lockouts. Thats why its evil.
Couldn’t a brewmaster just drop his black ox statue to prevent the adds from heading towards the cannons?
