Mythic + Group Finder System

I would love nothing more than to run M+ dungeons during the little time I have to play each day. It’s very annoying having to make groups or find groups. I constantly am applying for groups and getting passed up for others. If I make my own groups I wait a very long time (30 mins or more at times… just trying to assemble a team) to actually fill the group with tank or healers that are not 50+ ilvl away from where it should be to do the key level.

The current system is not time efficient and actually makes me not do the activity I WANT to do in the game because it takes too long of me sitting around looking for groups instead of just getting into the action.

There has to be some kind of queue system you can create specific for keys where people can just queue up, go do whatever else they want in the world until the group fills automatically. Maybe have stricter ilvl brackets for each key level or something. The way the system is now is really alienating to most of the specs in the game because some specs will never be invited unless it’s a really low key.

The system should have a filter system like a checklist of which dungeons you wanna run, which key levels, maybe even add into the algorithm that groups must have one purge class for dungeons that may require a purge or situations similar to this (not gonna try to explain them all, any reason someone may want to handpick one class role over another, insert this into an algorithm if it’s that important to get the dungeon done).

I am tired of trying to find groups, if it’s a queue system, I won’t care about waiting as much. I can sit in queue and focus my attention on something else. Sitting a 30 minute queue to find a key is okay but I will not spend 30 minutes hustling through the group finder trying to get accepted into a group or trying to create a group, I’ve been playing wow since 2005, have a few friends that still play and we all feel the same way about this. The premade group finder sucks for a lot of people, it can still stay for the people that want to hand craft their groups for high keys but there should be an alternative as well.

I would even be okay with a ‘solo q’ type system for keys, with spec leaderboards similar to how it is in PvP. Any queue system would be better than the premade group finder alone, like I said it can stay, it’s fine for some people, but something else automatic needs to happen.

Your opening a can of worms you don’t want to

Probably cuz of your gear or io score , which means you have no experience, even if there was a Q for m+ you would probably wont be able to do it

If you judge that your group failed because you didn’t have brez or lust, you can always blame the leader. Blizzard doesn’t want that responsibility.

You cant because queued system have to be nearly fail proof because you have no control over the people you get grouped with.

Thats why as soon as content gets to be a little bit of a challenge, they put the power into the players hands

Youre getting delves in the expansion which is your solo instanced content

Not the case unfortunately, I understand the system well and have achieved keystone master before. I know what ilvl is good to queue for what keys and my scores more than fine for the keys I apply to.

So you got S3 io and current io and no one is taking you ?

Current IO around 1450 and I can’t even get into +3/4/5 keys with 505 ilvl

This was during week 2 of the season as well, I haven’t been queuing as much since than as week 3 and 4 became a lot harder to find groups for some reason so I just haven’t since, just browsed here n there with no luck.

So i mean if you know what your doing why cant you make your own group, i make my own group, making your own group is faster than a Q , why would you want random classes with no brez or hero ?

Did you try creating your group and/or doing a more desirable role? Groups are flooded with dps the moment the key is posted. If (there’s never gonna be one) there’s a queue system, I expect dps to wait just as long or much longer than they are now. And that’s just one problem that a queue system would bring.

I do make my own groups too but I don’t know if it’s just the time of day or no one’s really playing anymore or what but I’ll list say a +5 and I’ll get a 455 ilvl tank to queue within a 30 minute span and no others… similar with healers… maybe I’m unlucky but I think more so it’s just I don’t want to wait that long to form a group… 30 minutes is too long

I havent played this season, but if i would push my key right now i would be able to push it to like 6 or 7 , no one would inv me to a 6 key if i would apply as 489

Player problem; player solution.

And no, the solution is not to queue m+. This is self-evident to anyone who spends a few minutes genuinely thinking about the ramifications

Lol, if they ever made a queue system for M+, the queues would be similar to Solo Shuffle for DPS players- about 45 mins to 1 hour or more.

And, even better, because you’re playing with true randoms, people are gonna be even more volatile, less likely to interrupt, and more likely to drop group.

The system is fine as-is, even if it’s slow to get into groups.

Play a healer or a tank if you want it to be faster, and then discover why no one wants to heal or tank a M+, lol.

+5 are useless. Do a +4 or a +6. +5 just adds an affix without really increasing the loot.

The game is meant to be played with friends or at least regulars.

People with 515-520 ilvl sign up for low keys to farm Wyrm’s Crests so they can upgrade their heroic track gear. Just happens, people who actually need the gear get pushed out by better geared people. You’re better off just running your own keys and filling up whoever you want.

It really doesn’t take 30 minutes to fill a group unless you’re being unreasonably picky for keys under a +10. People put too much stock on ilvl and ignore tanks and healers signing up that are still in last seasons ilvl range when that is perfectly fine to complete and time keys this season still.

Thats why its good to run your own key and inv farmers lol

I would consider M+ keys to be the ‘Ranked’ mode for dungeons in PvE. As far as ranked modes in games go, I think WoW is the only one that doesn’t have an automatic queue system for such a mode.

MMO wise there isn’t much to compare it to I guess but there are a plethora of games that you want good and skilled players in your ranked group and they have queue systems for their matchmaking. I can see where you’re coming from in your argument but I don’t think it’s correct. They can do it, and it would be acceptable for many people, I’d even argue the vast majority of people that are interested in M+

Let’s just say this “mythic + Que” system was implemented. I want lust in my group, and a b rezz, and a certain tank and not a certain healer, and people who don’t suck. Is that Que system going to make sure I get what I want? I feel like if this was a thing, Que times would be astronomical too. You’d be waiting in Que longer than you’d be if you just searched for individual people to form a group.
