Personally I don’t see why Mythic+ dungeon reward or achievement of some sorts (Completing a 20+ key of X dungeon) can’t provide a reward that makes a nose-touch reference to a dungeon within the expansion or of the particular one you completed, with its mount reward.
For instance, if the KSM mount was one of the following:
- The ‘Primal Tsunami’ boss from ‘Halls of Infusion’
- or you got a primal protodrake skin that looks like Kyrakka (from Ruby Life Pools) or Granyth (From The Nokud Offensive)
- Heck even a flying dwarven longboat that ‘The Lost Dwarves’ ride in during their boss encounter at ‘Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr’.
Heck, even if the mounts above were moderately low (but not insanely) chance to drop from the 20+ keys of the particular dungeon or extremely low chance from heroic version if they don’t have mythic+ (Eg. Halls of Infusion and Uldaman).
Give people further incentive towards running X, Y and Z dungeons or scoring a particular key on their RNG. For the non-mythic dungeons, it’d also provide incentive for high-geared people to queue up for heroics despite not needing the gear or having a quest to do so.
