Mythic Dungeon Ready?

As the title goes, I’m a returning player, experienced tank. Given my gear, am I ready for Mythic dungeons? If not, what are things I can do to prep without spending gold?

Additionally, are there any recommended add-ons other than DBM?

You should be right around where you want to be to start Mythic dungeons, if your a little nervous about jumping into it I would recommend running all the dungeons on heroic so you know the basics.

For addons DBM really is the big one. I really enjoy Weakauras as well, I use ‘BFA Dungeons’ with it which is just another DBM but it also has alot of useful class specific plugins that can be added to help you track CDs/Resources/etc. It’s by no means necessary but I would recommend looking at it to see if there might be something from it that you want.

it’s extremely helpful and eliminates the issue where you finish the last boss while having 1-2% enemy forces left to kill and have to go all the way back – think waycrest manor

There is an addon called “questionably epic” that I recommend. Basically there’s an info box that you can move, and every trash or boss that you have targeted it will tell you the important things to interrupt, dodge/stun/avoid, basically whatever mechanics you need to be aware of.

When I stated the expansion I used m0s as my learning stage, where I watched every cast and paid attention to what was going on. Learning what could/should be stunned, what shouldn’t that sort of thing. It’s a good time because mobs will hurt so you need to know what to do, but you don’t have the pressure of an M+ timer.

Your gear is ideal for m0s right now. Jump in, take your time and learn the dungeons that way, it’s a very organic way of doing it in my opinion and it’ll stick with you (versus reading a bunch of guides, which is also very helpful but I like doing both).

You and four other 323 ilvl players could absolutely succeed in Mythic dungeons (given a bit of elbow grease), but pugging might be tricky. At the very beginning of the expansion, yours would have been an extremely desirable character that any pug would take. At this point, gear has inflated a bit what with all of the trivial-difficulty sources of 355+ loot, so the landscape is a bit weird for non-trivial content that rewards 340 loot.

This isn’t to say that you can’t run the dungeons, or even that you can’t pug! Just be aware that it might take an extra few minutes, and as always you’re much better off with a guild group or friends than with randos in the groupfinder. Good luck out there.
