Can someone look into addressing this issue? I have ran multiple mythics with 0 - Zero drops. Unless you can increase the difficulty it’s not like you can farm them like heroics.
Can a penalty system be implemented as each boss dies and no loot drops it starts increasing drop chance? Would at least help with the droughts.
There is exactly that a system in place to help loot if you dont get. After you kill a boss if you seen no loot the next time you kill THAT boss you get better odds.
As for running multi m0s with 0 drops you would need to define exactly what multi means as I doubt your talking 3 or more. Between 2 world tours of m0s I only seen one instance out of the 16 clears that one person did not get at least 1 item per run. The drop rate is fine. Yes you might get unlucky once or twice that is nothing new. Multiple thou dose not mean 2 to me. Your point has more value with spefics behind it. If you do mean 3+ I have to question your honesty I’m thinking you more so mean nothing you wanted droped vs nothing droped at all. Esp as conduits drop like candy it seams. Even if it was true that you managed to do 3 mythics without a single drop something I doubt it just means you hit a low in your avg loot period, you will get a high to counter it this is exactly what avg droprates means, the system increasing your odds to get loot after not seeing loot on x boss guarantees that.
As for being able to increase the diff you can and once you do you can farm them unlimited times just like heroics.
I’ve gotten drops, but given away all of them, because they keep being in slots I have better already. I’ve given away two chests already after getting the normal chest off Huntsman. And of course, my warlock friend got my personal BIS neck from M+ to drop, but it was a few itemlevels better than what he had, so he couldn’t trade it despite it being a downgrade for him. Yay personal loot.
But yes, there’s worth to doing it. Keep in mind that timing a key is 2 items, so you have, in essence, a 40% chance of getting loot per M+ you complete. And if you do any M+ this week, you’re guaranteed an item next Tuesday from the vault.
Currently at 10 mythic +'s , 1 not in time. 2 pieces of loot weapon and ring. I’m way off from the 40% chance at loot. Maybe next batch of 10 I do will yield better results
Getting loot from two out of ten mythic+ might be the least rewarding thing I’ve ever done. This is actual garbage.
I get that they don’t want to give us decent loot from m+ anymore, and that’s fine, but barely any loot at all? Come on, we need some reason to do this. M+ needs it’s loot situation looked at. I think two pieces of gear needs to drop at minimum.
80% chance to get nothing, dungeon after dungeon after dungeon after dungeon after dungeon is not a good investment of time.
RNG is RNG. It’s roughly a 1 in 6 probability of going 10 runs with 2 or fewer drops.
They…do? M+ is 2 pieces per run if you time it, plus a chance at additional loot if the key is higher than 15. You only get 1 item if you fail the timer, but that’s just incentive not to fail the timer.
I’m just going to pretend you said something useful and not completely contradictory.
Again, m+ should drop two pieces, minimum. And then scale up from there. Not drop one and then an extra for timing. That isn’t two minimum, that’s 1+1=2, not 2+1=3.
Don’t fail the key and it does. This is entitlement at its best. “I want to be able to fail and get the same rewards as succeeding!”
Keep in mind that for most people, the end-of-dungeon chests are basically irrelevant after a certain point anyway. All of the eventual rewards come from the weekly chest instead. Without titanforging in the mix, those chest rewards quickly become obsolete purely based on itemlevel. I mean, the end-of-dungeon chest tops out only 3 itemlevels ahead of heroic Nathria. We’ll blow past that itemlevel in no time.
The new system is in place to balance loot drop due to lack of titanforging or corruptforging. That being said, your best bet for loot is to go in with at least one same armor class. Better odds that you get loot or the other player doesn’t need and gives you loot.
I did a +5 gold timer (3 chest) of Mists of Tirna Scythe and the reward was 2 loots and 35 anima, i was one of the lucky ones and got a belt upgrade…i do not like the 35 anima when the same amount of anima drops from a +2… what is the point of that?
If i’m not going to gear up, then I might as well be playing another genre of game instead, preferably one that doesn’t cost me $20/month (I’m canadian).
And it dries up in 2 weeks to placate the raiders who think that staying awake for 6 minutes straight as a raid tank is compelling gameplay and deserves the best rewards.
Ya I think I’ll take a break for a while. After raiding most of my time from wrath to mid WOD i have only played M+ since the start of legion and been subbed since. It’s by far the best thing that ever happened to endgame WoW and should have been in the game 10 years ago. Blizz wants to go out of their way to ruin the one thing I really enjoyed and I paid them for then so be it.
Instead of improving and expanding on this golden goose blizzard is just going to destroy it, from these loot changes to ignoring 100% feedback regarding dungeon design and class design in relation to dungeon design. The logic I can only assume amounts to “raiding must be king blah blah”, as if we don’t have an entire other game for that already present.
All of our words here pro or against are meaningless, even in the context of game development, just like the vast majority of beta feedback was meaningless (again). There will be a financial hit from such changes or modern blizz simply won’t care.
