Mythic+ Deserter

So,

What if instead of a person leaving the mythic+ dungeon, they just go afk or log off, instead of leaving the group? Is there some sort mechanism for this?

If not, this problem is not solved at all.

And then if they go AFK, it will force someone else to leave the group getting the deserter flag LOL. pretty funny

I honestly blame blizzard for not creating some sort of buffer on who can queue for a key.

In a perfect world, if you haven’t successfully timed a +2 Streets, you shouldn’t be able to queue for a +3 Streets. With the caveat that if you were able to achieve 2500 (arbitrary) io score last season, then those filters don’t apply to you.

I’ve ran many streets where people don’t use Gluttony debuff to absorb the orbs and then they blame the healer for not healing through it

Mechanics aren’t learned in M+

Completely off topic. But okay … appreciate the contribution, Betty! golf clap

Not really off-topic because why do people desert keys in the manner of which you originally posted?

It’s 9/10 they weren’t ready for that level of difficulty or intensity.

You’re addressing a topical concern, whereas I’m addressing the root cause.

What if someone just had to go eat or something.

Then they shouldn’t have started a key…

Then they shouldn’t have started the key or clicked ready during ready check. You’re not always going to be able to control all variables and Blizzard has given you the option to abandon the key.

Or you can just go AFK. And then some other chump has to abandon and get the flag.

I’ve never seen the flag for abandoning a key.

The entire system is pretty dumb but at the same time, I’m pretty sure people are being kind of ridiculous over it too lol.

Yeah when someone applies to your key they have a flag on their name. I’ve seen it a bunch so far

Wow, almost like everyone knew this would happen. What a shocking revelation.

Okay so in that case, my original response to your post is yet another layer for fixing the queuing system.

Stuff comes up. I’ve had to AFK mid-keys for situations that you can’t predict. Stomach problems, kid throwing up, puppy waking up and having to pee (and if you don’t immediately do that they’ll go in your house), cat throwing up, pipe burst and started flooding the kitchen while my mom was screaming LOL

You can’t plan life, and life > game

hehehe velpura make me laugh :3

Yes, of course life emergencies come up. It’s happened to us all. If it’s happening all the time then don’t queue up for keys.

I’m sure that the intentions behind this thread are completely in good faith.

You know what would make more sense, but they won’t do it…giving each player one pause to use during the key.
