Mythic Crests

Having them drop from +7 down from +8 (+9 earlier in Season 1) is a horrible change. You already made the 7-11 keys easier by moving the increased death timer affixe to +12. All the keys before/below the addition of the 3rd M+ affixe are crucial for players to learn M+ mechanics. Letting players brute force it through easily aquired gear just makes M+ worse for anyone taking their first steps into it, or looking to push past +10s and the max vault reward. In addition, the move to +7 specifically just means the key level no longer matches the reward (especially after the affixe swaps).

If you want to make M+ more accesible the solution is adding more tools to teach players the mechanics. The very least that could be done is adding dungeon trash mobs to the dungeon journal same as bosses. Stop taking the lazy route by just nerfing content. Game has major issues regarding grouping up for content and patch after patch you do nothing to change it but simply changing tuning numbers. Its insane. Every change just makes it worse for the playerbase no matter which side theyre supporting.

its not horrible, its a sweet change, if people get gear the can burst down the mods faster and make the dungeons smoother for newer player, new player or casual players they dont want to do cc’s or interrupts, but they want to do a dps, if lower keys are more accessible, the queues will be faster with more players queuing and if dungeon completion chance increases people will likely to come for more

Its almost like you didnt read what i said despite me providing a better solution as well. People blasting through stuff for the newer players doesnt make anything go smoother in the long run. Those newer players experience smooth dungeon runs but dont understand the reason behind why they were so smooth, and then end up at a wall when the next affixe is added because they never truly learned the dungeons.

These are great changes, and they honestly should do the same thing in raids. Coupled with the new mob design, slower tank busters and the “pulses aoe” checks over tank living checks, season 2 is looking to be pretty good for the regular vault people/alts. Pushing high keys remains untouched. It’s just good all around.

Now, if they could just extend hero track to 12/12, we’d be cooking with gas. Or if they added 10 man mythic, this place would go infinite zero point energy.

Stop Gatekeeping OP. Push Players have their goal now. None of these individuals in your soliloquy will ever find themselves in your 10 keys or even higher. Just allow more people to enjoy the game.

Keep in mind that M+ are not easier now. They start much harder at +2 and only become easier around 11 because everyone missed the thing where they said they are reducing scaling to 7% but buffing the base health by 81% lol

Considering how long seasons are it really wouldn’t matter if mythic track gear was vault for heroic dungeons at this point.

All of it gets replaced every season anyway.

What’s it matter if the no-lifers get a full set in 2 hours of the season starting.

Everyone else that doesn’t play 10 hours a day will still take weeks to get a full set, few more weeks to level cap it. Then a few weeks to use it to do the content.

There’s no pleasing everyone. Idc what they do because I’ll push past the last power rewards regardless, but the recent changes are clearly aimed at the masses. Making the masses happy is probably a good thing to aim for.

Lmao except some of those no lifers actually arent able to do the content at a level allowing them to gear that quickly, but they’ll still complain that they dont have the gear. Sorry but thats wrong and shouldnt be defended. If you cant do the content dont expect the reward.

Let me get this straight…you are mad that players of lower skill have a way of obtaining mythic crests? But not because of elitism, you want to prevent them from getting mythic crests…for their own good?

And for the sake of anyone they hold back simply by being unfortunate enough to join a group with them, yes.

Thats how the other game modes work. If you cant do the content, youre not getting a group. For a raid this means having kills and decent parses on the previous bosses or fights so people can make sure you dont suck. PvP has players checking historical rating with players ditching you within 3 minutes of finding out you suck. Delves will have the mobs packing you in a box and kicking you out the instance if you suck. M+ has rating, but someone would have to look at your entire season history to know if you were carried or not. It has parses, but someone really cant tell just how bad you are without first bricking the key and wasting whatever time was spent pushing up to it. Its the most unstable gamemode and the biggest reason for that is players that suck thinking they deserve the max gear despite that. Once again, no other game mode has this happening at such a scale.
