Mythic BfA Raids

Has anyone recently attempted soloing / 2-3 manning mythic BfA? I did Dazar’alor with a friend a few weeks ago which required some cheesing on certain events but weren’t particularly hard.

Mostly curious as I’d like to run Mythic Uldir, including G’huun. But the last post I found about that specifically was about 10 months ago. So, assuming nothing has changed except for player power, is it possible? Or are we looking at needing to convince more people to come along lol.

Some fights are still locked behind mechanics that require a larger group

Good news is they said theyre finally going over bfa raids to make them soloable

I soloed uldir on hunter. Did every boss minus the last two.

Got a source for that? Or just some dev saying in an interview that they’d like to work on making BFA raids soloable? Because they say a lot of things in those interviews…

I know that devs talk at times, but they actually said before the end of DF

Might take me a bit to re-find it since technically at work lol

They can say it all they want, I won’t believe anything Ion and Co say though until they actually do it. They have proven time and again that they will say things they think the players want to hear, then either never follow through or drag their feet until something forces their hand.

I need to do Nzoth on mythic, i have the cloak wonder if if you can solo

My blood DK friend and I have been doing it these past few weeks, as well as some of mythic Shadowlands.

Uldir, nothing to note here. 2nd last boss mind control orbs are irritating but my friend just kept gripping me out of them. Ghuun is technically 2 mannable since the debuff that prevents you from interacting with the orbs now seems to only happen if you fumble and break the orb, but since you need to dunk 6 orbs per phase, the adds get wildly out of control. We could only dunk 3 before being overwhelmed by add damage.

Dazaralor, not much to note until Gold Golem. Just take a corridor each and try to kill them at the same time, then kill boss. If it absorbs 1 golem its still doable but its going to be a lot longer of a fight with a lot more damage.
Council is doable, keep the 2 active bosses seperated, and note that a pet class is practically mandatory for Akunda.
Rastakhan has a mind control totem that will reset the fight. I don’t actually know how we handled that. I think my friend used AMS and killed the totem? Besides that, keep Rastakhan and Bwondi seperate.
Jaina is an interesting one. Again, a pet class is practically mandatory. Stay stacked up and use any ground targeted AoE or pet to break the ice blocks as soon as you’re frozen. If everyone is frozen for 2 seconds you all instantly die. Frozen can be AMSed.

Crucible is nasty. First boss needs a dispel and maybe a brez. Imp dispel works. One magic buff will reduce your max HP by 10% per stack up to 9 stacks, you will be one shot by stuff of you dont dodge them at 9 stacks. Tank will get a stacking 10% stat reduction that can’t be dispelled. It will eventually kill.
2nd boss is basically tank n spank. You don’t even need the relics. You can kite boss away from eternal adds to prevent the massive damage reduction buff the boss gets.

Eternal Palace, the jellyfish needs to be burned down ASAP, 10 stacks of the tank debuff is die. Can push phase 2, then let debuff drop before interrupting.
Council needs to be kept seperate, and be forewarned that without healing, Deferred Sentence will kill you if you don’t kill the boss first.
Azshara is a pita. Burn her ASAP, but be wary of Beckon. Don’t even bother trying to repair the seals.

Nyalotha time, not much to say until dragon boss. When you enter the final phase, stay stacked and burn hard
Raden is painful. Burn him hard and fast.
Carapace phase 1 make sure you kill the tentacles before phasing. Phase 2, wait for the pustules on the wall to get shielded before killing them so you can get a sanity restoration orb. Play right and you’ll enter phase 3 at 100% sanity. In phase 3? Just burn fast and hard before you go insane.
Nzoth seems just impossible to 2 man. Sanity is a huge issue. If you wanna try him, remember that you need thd legendary cape equipped or you get instantly mind controlled.

Hope that helps

Care to name some examples? I’m rather ambivalent towards the devs myself, but I tend to take them at their word when they say things since I’ve seen them follow through pretty consistently when they say they’re going to do something.

But if you’re gonna get into the weeds and start talking about monkey paws or ‘they didn’t do enough’, that’s a circular argument that’s never going to end since it’s subjective.

Off the top of my head, covenants, saying there was a ripcord, then saying there wasn’t and when the scandal broke, all of sudden covenants, which they claimed were so intertwined into all of SL’s systems, and therefore couldn’t be changed, could be changed that quickly.

Uldir is 100% possible with 2 people. BoD, with enough knowledge of the fights and iLVL, can be done with 2 people, some of the fights in both have mechanics that have not yet been tuned and 100% need at least 2 people.

CoS, I have no idea, I have never been back since.

But EP and Nya is where you need minimum 2-4 to clear it all. EP might have some luck to clear solo if you can just hit hard enough, maybe, I cannot recall any fights that need 2 people. But Nya you must have not only minimum 2, but enough damage also and I don’t think we are at that point yet.

Fury and nzoth needs 2+ people (i have done it with 4 people).

for fury p2 (might be soloable if fast enough to do both side) and nozths up/down part needs 2 people. What i do find werid is they removed the need for the cape on fury yet didnt remove it for nzoth

The Queen’s Court has the 2 bosses where if they are near each other then they gain a 99% dmg reduction, so they are impossible for non-pet classes on mythic at least.
