That’s actually somewhat reasonable, but I’m not sure if that counts as most M+ sales groups. First and only time I’ve been in a M+ sales group was at the very end of Legion, and we had the buyer pay before the run. I’d imagine most people do it that way, but I could be wrong too.
4300 io player here. Gold upfront always. I have never heard any stories of any players or communities scamming buyers. Its not in their interest to risk their reputation for 200 or 300k or even 1m.
We have the ability to make millions of gold per day and our reputations arent worth ruining over your small amount of gold.
And where if anywhere do you ever pay for a service or product after recieiving it?
There are enough buyers out there that don’t waste our time and some even pay good gold just to get a better faster service. So we aren’t hurting over ur 200k gold.
But you have fun trying to find quality carries that are willing to take gold after the fact or half and half or w/e.
A wow token is a supported transaction with Blizz, however when you are making a deal with a player that’s unsupported. You can’t basically go to consumer court and demand service for what you paid for
No matter what happens even if Blizz investigates and disciplines the scammer you will not get your gold back.
Based on your responses all I can conclude is that you’re trying to scam some sell groups out of half their gold. I’ve sold dungeon runs since MoP Challenge Modes, always have to get the gold up front. I’ve never heard of any other method from a legit sell group.
