Mythic + am i wrong?

ok so this is a new account and i wanted to buy a mythic+ run to get gear.
I offered 200k for a +15 and they accepted, then right before we start they say they need the payment upfront. I say to them if i give u 200k and u don’t do the run i have no way of getting the 200k back. they acted like that wasn’t true so then i leave and try another group. and its the same thing. so am i wrong? if they take my money and don’t do the run blizzard will actually take the gold out of there bag and put it back into mine because i have always known this to be inaccurate

(i offered 5k deposit to the sellers both times, and on my other account i have sold a few +15 runs each time requiring payment at the end)

Don’t do it! Blizzard does not support gold-selling services, you’ll be SOL.

well

you’re not wrong because it’s your gold.

but as someone who does m+ carries, I can tell you there is absolutely no way I would do a carry without payment up front.

My suggestion to you, if you are concerned about someone taking your gold and not following through with the carry, is to go with one of the boosting services (I don’t really want to mention the names here as idk if the forum mods would see that as advertising). The two big ones I’m thinking of do only in-game gold carries, have a vested interest in keeping buyers happy, and absolutely are not out to scam you.

They’ll still require payment before the run, but there’s a pretty big system in place to ensure your run goes smoothly.

Why would they run without gold up front? 4 people taking 30 mins out of their lives to carry dead weight. Only to potentially not get paid? Or one pleb spending $20 to get a foot massage

Exactly !!! like ive said i have sold runs myself and would never think to require payment upfront as i have almost nothing but 30minutes of time to lose if they dont pay

My 30 mins are worth 200K solo in visions.

Do half and half.

They could easily bail on you and take your gold.

Wow there are some dumb people playing this video game.

I’m not sure if you get the gold back or if they remove it from them. I’m pretty sure that selling runs for gold is not against tos. Selling runs for real currency is though.

As for the actually buying a run for gold though I’m pretty sure a lot of these groups are legit though because of how many people are selling them. Plus some people’s gear is so good and these guys are so good at doing mythic plus that a +15 is almost like doing a + 10 for a lot of people.

Also the amount of gold these groups are prolly making wouldn’t make sense for them to risk how they make their gold for a run that doesn’t require much work for them

No one does this…

OP pay upfront or get good. Your choice.

wait i though u were agreeing with me haha

You’re not everyone so you don’t get to say no one.

You should be very careful when buying runs. They very well can take your money and run. You need to raiderIO the party members to see if they have done many +15s. I always did a check on their achievements when I bought runs to get ahead of the curve mounts. I mean wost case scenario you are out 40 bucks essentially… so I guess it comes down to if you are willing to take the risk for reward.

I‘m saying facts, not making stuff up.

the seller has nothing, to lose the buyer has 0 recourse to get his gold back makes sense loool

Saying you know what everyone does in a game with millions of players is in fact something you made up.

To expect people to think otherwise is dumb.
