Only in mythic+ land do people try and defend success despite some party members failing horribly.
The fact that this is the “solution” to a problem that bliz created is not a W it’s still an L. To wait this long to address the issue and to not address it properly is abysmal service when you are paid to provide a service. Do Better
Good game design is cutting players short and saying “this isn’t for you”. Yeah, good business plan. Keeps those subscribers around.
The amount of people actually doing keys far outnumbers the ones complaining about them on the forums and threatening to unsub over this…
Im sorry but yeah, plenty of people are able to successfully pug this content with minimal issue so if this is keeping someone from engaging with the content they either need to overcome the issue via gameplay or accept that the content isn’t for them. Blizz has already lowered the bar several times now and people STILL complain while the rest of us are filling our vaults out.
If you need some help getting 10s done then ask and I guarantee you’ll find people willing to help…but if you’d rather keep blaming the game for excluding you then that’s on you. There is absolutely nothing wrong with content being difficult (especially when it rewards the best gear in the game) and people need to get that already.
I am happy you are all doing something about it, but can you all just stop pussy footing around the issue?
Just remove it, its a bad affix, get rid of it stop trying to make it work, it does not just remove it.
Solid Blizz W. Granted, it’s a bit late in the season and this should have shipped way sooner, but this does fix the affix.
One free wipe doesn’t solve the issue when awkward rubber banding has the mobs snapping back to the respawn because someone’s DOT didn’t drop before they released. Seen this one issue rack up a full extra wipe more than once and with no counter play on the same attempted reset. 8+ deaths, auto key over.
Point is, if the death timer was the only thing to be concerned about, it’s a non-issue. There’s enough bugs or RNG nonsense that can come up out of nowhere and sewer a player or the group. The highest end players are commenting on this affix being a problem as well. Dratnos, Max, Tettles, etc. have all gone on the record saying this affix is unnecessarily punishing, and the lost time from running back, the default 5 seconds, and the pack reset are detrimental enough on their own. Unless you think you’re smarter than all of them as well.
It’s a bad affix. Badly designed. Badly implemented. Badly thought out. Bad. Remove it.
This is a joke because if it were scaling, they’d complain about that.
Or like… you know go down 7 key levels and faceroll content.
How do we please these “star” players who keep going towards the hardest point in an infinitely scaling system and complain how keys brick due to X Y and Z?
Keys will fail at some point because it’s infinitely scaling and it’s mathematically impossible to succeed. Whatever they do to the affix or timer, they’ll be there on that wall.
Except Max, he doesn’t really play.
Misleading. There’s an acceptance at the highest key levels that any wipe is an automatic game over by just how little wiggle room with the timer there is. Their comments are direct AT the Everyman group. The 7-11 bracket. The ones where other affixes exist that have RNG elements.
The highest key runners (12+) only have the dungeon itself with 4 different multipliers applied; Fort, Tyran, Guile, and the base key multiplier. The redundancy of those affixes existing in an infinitely scaling environment aside, those highest key levels let players simply focus on managing the dungeon itself.
So, why complain about peril when it doesn’t matter since key is bricked due to wipe anyway? lol.
It’s irrelevant if it exists or not.
Because the 7-10 bracket is where rewards are earned. Gilded crests, hero and myth track gear.
Its the bracket that affects the most players on a week to week basis. It’s a gatekeeping factor where the timer DOES matter.
Just advocate Blizzard mail people gear at this point. No stress, no hassle, cause any reason that people fail will be complained about until Blizzard doles out pity nerfs.
And repeat.
Oh, and if people reach the Ilvl cap, need to extend it, so they don’t get bored.
(Usually better done so with new content rather than raw ilvl increase.)
So is that what this is about for you? Keeping things away from the players that “dont deserve it” by your estimation?
If this is a matter of screaming “skill issue”, then let them players have access to the same tools as their skill-superior peers so they can learn to work with this stuff on an even playing field and actually hone their skills. The tuning in these dungeons is still tight enough that gear goes a long way in helping people survive mechanics long enough to learn to survive them. Can’t work on your “skill issue” when you’re being handicapped from the get-go.
The very basis of wow is gear is tied to skill. Has been since Vanilla. So yes, keep gear out of the hand of the unworthy.
I think one of the death eaters called Dumbledore Dumby right before he died
Do you think skilled players got mailed gear by Blizzard?
Ah, you finally show your hand. Go hop on Ion’s knob with the rest of the Eliteist Jerks and let the rest of us actually enjoy the game.
Vanilla didn’t lock the best upgrades in the game behind timed content. Progression was based on learning fight mechanics and using your class skill set properly. Timed content is the lazy way to add “challenge”.
Are you guys going to fix the last boss in mists anytime soon? It’s bugged.
The poison pools from our 1st didn’t reset. They remained there all throughout the 2nd pull. Sometimes the swirlies are invisible. It’s awful man.
Vanilla had raids on a reset, Naxx that few ever saw. Rep grinds that took literal forever.
The madness of high warlord and grand marshall.
That is Vanilla.
Also undead strath says hi.
I also remember shifting scepter questline and a timed BWL raid.
