Mythic 0s are way to hard

im a 587 il blood dk and i was doing city of echos and the spider boss was eating all my health with a def cooldown active.

We are not over-geared and Mythic tuning is coming soon - happens every time.

Coming from face roll Heroics. We now have to actually do mechanics.

Plus it also feels harder coz people don’t know many mechanics too and proper Stun/CC.

Like, in the city of Echos Last Boss. You don’t have to kill the blood after getting rooted. You can use an ability that removes the root (Psychic screen for priests). Some people don’t know that.
This is a learning time.

Did you allow the little spiders to reach the boss? They buff her damage +50% for 12s, stacking, each time she eats one.
This is the additional mythic mechanic to the boss.

season 1 always starts WAY over tuned, got to make sure the world first / E sports crowds have a challenge.

Gonna cross post what I put in another thread, but here’s my 2c

Alright, finished tanking all the M0s for today (started at 571 and ended at 590, and here’s my feedback:

General observations: Everything, literally everything, hits like a truck. Even with Shield Block and IP + Demo shout, one pack can chunk me down to near death. The only meaningful mitigations are the big CD’s like shield wall or CCing enemies with stuns/etc. It seems like there is just a ton of magic damage going out. Spell reflection just doesn’t last long enough.

Keep in mind, I am avoiding damage bads as much as possible, and still its very easy to get chunked.

Accidentally pulling multiple packs is survivable, but if DPS is slow and/or I don’t have enough CDs up I can die very very quickly.

Bosses: some are really difficult and others are just a cakewalk. For example the final boss in AK is troublesome with the mechanic, but in grim batol the final boss was just tank and spank it felt like.

DPS ultimately seems to determine success of encounters. If DPS is low, healers cannot keep a group or tank alive long enough to clear.

No, it’s because people lose their minds when they balance things upwards, so they can never balance up undertuned fights. That’sw hy they MUST start overtuned, since there’s no room to go up. ever. because we whine and cry. This is entirely our fault.

Best thing players can do is a little research. Go learn what new mythic-only mechanics have been added, and learn how to handle them. M0s aren’t just heroics tuned up, there are new mechanics at play here.

Has it already been nerfed to 12 sec? Dungeon journal says it should last 1 min.

Shrug, wowhead’s article says both lol.
I didn’t let any reach her earlier, so I couldn’t tell you from experience.
1min duration, stacking, seems a bit rough tho.

Eventually, you reach a point where if the boss eats one, you just die anyways.

I dont think they are too hard, we need to adjust our perspective on how to run a dungeon.

Do. The. Mechanics.

Use. Your. CC.

Rotate. Your. Defensives.

Dps should be kicking casts on CD.

It is definitely a rude and welcomed awakening from the go go go of heroics.

It’s gets easier as you get to around 592. Just make sure to cap 8/8 every day.

The dungeons are fine for the most part I think… It’s a combination of various factors why they might feel harder:

1.- Tunning for Heroics was a joke they should not have been so faceroll most players don’t even know the heroic mechanics cause they don’t matter and bosses die before they can even show it. So now you have the heroic mechanics that people didn’t knew and the M mechanics.

2.- We have bad gear since it’s early expansion.

3.- Remember that the intend was to scale up the difficulty, M0 should feel more like a +10 in the old system (with poor gear)
