Due to work / Life, held off jumping into mythic pluses, but was able to que up LFD heroic runs and get my iLvL to healthy 175 & score 7 of the legendary memories, through Torg and normal / heroic Dungeons runs.
Jump into mythic Que today, over 30 straight applications rejected. Fair enough. then accepted twice. within less than 30secs. Removed from group. Fair suck of the sav!
Set up as:- high aoe RoC Destro build, with the right legendary. Wilfred’s Sigil of Superior Summoning. Which has reduced my infernal cool down to approx 2mins. Does well for Demo too.
Advice? Hugs? invites?

Not sure what to tell you but it’s 2018 all over again. Warlocks are no-go for M+.

LOL… I was farming some heroics for the last couple of slots where I’m still in 150’s. Applied for heroics as a 180 lock. The pause as they considered was funny, the ‘declined’ hurt. Ended up spending 15 minutes in lfg que thrice.

Cataclysm - CDF - havoc - conflag - chaos bolts.
RoF only on packs of at least 4 and provided tank is not kiting too hard.
Infernal on bosses only or on large trash pull, provided you’re not too close to a boss fight.
Your covenant aoe at will.

Destro is a sh1tty fire mage, afflic is a sh1tty shadow priest, and demonology is a monstrosity. Reroll or embrace the pain
Thanks Midnighter. Been practice running the AOE Destro legendary spec. Im exactly specced as you listed. My DPS / Damage in heroic, is either top 1 or top 2.
For this expansion I leveled as Afflicition instead of demo. Enjoyed it. I knew affliction damage would take too long to ramp up in normal, heroic dungeons. And swapped to Destro asap, for more upfront damage. Plus I teste demo as well.
Its painful when iconic pure DPS class is sidelined for modern updated dungeon runs of mythic plus. Because the Meta thinks our class is not up to date.
I knew the score going in. But I’m a warlock. Have been since 2008. Bugger me!
People don’t get the game at all and inflict their dumb on others.
Had some hunter in a bloody heroic spend the literal entire dungeon trying to explain to me I should be Aff in a dungeon because it sims higher.
So yeah just get a team of friends going.
I’m not having any trouble getting groups? You need to be running the proper spec. I’m running demon fire with the infernal legendary. I was typing 6 to 8K on trash packs with everything up.I’m also pushing 3K single target. We are very cool down dependent, and if you can figure out a way to utilize them at the right moments, you’re going to be in great shape.
Warlocks are fine in m+ but not everyone is aware of that still used to bfa locks. that said your ilvl is decent enough to get in but not enough to guarantee a spot. run with friends or guildies or start your own group. seriously its not hard.

Wrong so wrong! DO NOT RUN CDF! you have wilfreds so run soul conduit and inferno. on tyranical weeks DSI will be viable. use simulation craft to sim your talents and stat weights and listen to the pros. as someone who did +20 keys in bfa this is my advice

Actually the spec he is running is the proper spec considering there are two current Destro specs for mythic plus.
The spec he is running is more aimed at pulls with a tank that knows how to pull around infernal cd.
You’re is more general aoe for pugs.

All 3 warlock specs are great in m+ This xpac. I suggest you run with guildies or btag friends. Should have no problem pumping damage. Regardless of your spec.
Sadly, this situation (i.e. having a difficult time being accepted into group-finder M0/+ groups) is nothing new. It’s not especially easy for any DPS who goes it alone to find a group, and Warlocks in particular don’t have a great reputation for M+ DPS from the past two expansions. There’s little you can do in terms of gearing or spec to overcome this, since few players will bother to look at your armory page and will instead focus only on your ilvl (or Raider.IO score when that becomes available). Most people don’t consider anything outside of raw DPS, so the value of healthstones is often disregarded (most pugs won’t have them bound to their bars) and a lot of warlocks drop the ball when it comes to interrupts and the like, so we don’t really have the best reputation for utility either. You’re probably not going to have much luck unless you find a group of friends or regulars to run with.
Yes, I 'm following Kalamazi. I’ve swapped between The 2 destro specs. And yes the current one is general aoe / ST, for LF Dungeons. Drop my infernal on first pull and drop tons of rain of fire. Can get as many as 3 infernals up at 1 time.

yes Kalamazi is a great source! the build i listed earlier will be best for pushing absolute highest keys but you can do more casual m+ fine with your build. i havent had a problem with groups even in bfa i was fine but i also get bis and high io as fast as possible
I feel your pain, yet when i get into I always out dps, when someone knows how to lock they are great, but its a high skill cap I guess : )
I still struggle a bit in AOE as afflock but as I’ve gotten more practice I don’t get blown away. If I don’t do well in keeping dots up I can easily get out dps’d and in bigger packs I still struggle a bit but I think its my own issue with keeping up dots on the right mobs.
single target I still do well. same ilevel I almost always top the charts and on some bosses where its sustained like the dealer in de other side I kick butt.
I didn’t check his spec as I read the comment in passing. You are right mine is fed pug oriented, and considering I’m going to be pugging more than guild groups it’s fine.
I’ll have time to tinker and have fun later. I am going to run raid with my spec as is an just have fun with it
Personally I run Cata, CDF, Roaring/w Combusting engine and havoc to apply conflag/immo buff. I normally pull top dmg on every pull. Spam RoF on more than 2 targets, or outside of a havoc window as Decibolt/Incin will do more than Chaos bolt will.
