For example, when summoning a mage table a mysterious voice says to “let them starve” or when summoning a portal, a mysterious voice says, “let them walk.” What is this voice and is there any way to remove it? Thank you.

I am pretty sure BASE UI doesn’t have those voice lines. At least I never heard them as a mage. I’d suggest checking your addons.

This is from the Legion’s artifact for Arcane mages, Aluneth’s transmog, the weapon you are probably using.

That would be the mage staff the legendary weapon from Legion. Aluneth. Even when you just mog the appearance it still uses the voice lines.

Yeah it is Aluneth if you have it transmogged like others said. One of the few that talks to you like Xal’atath shadow priest artifact. Maybe the only other one? Idr.

i only played fire mage in Legion…i didnt know that the arcane mage’s staff did that.

I wish my daggers would talk to me. I give them all this fancy poison, go stabby stabby, shine them up nice after… Nothing. Not a peep out of either of them. Ungrateful…

Lol that’s Aluneth, the arcane mage legion artifact weapon. Transmog your weapon to something else and the voice is gone.
Xalatath, Aluneth, and Thalkiel are tue three sentient talking legion weapons.

Technically the Ashbringer does too, but it doesn’t show in chat like Xal and Aluneth, you just hear Tirion saying a few lines like “ashes, to ashes” or “The ashbringer…” among others.

Also the blood DK weapon laughs when you kill KJ. Only time it shows its sentience

A mop axe does as well… I don’t known if the recolors from remix share its trait…might only be a ingame whisper to not voiced its been a bit.

Little sad it didn’t get updated voicelines in TWW praising the destruction of Dalaran, as it was always wishing I’d pull the city into the ocean during Legion.

No its built into Arcane Mage Legion class hall weapons. So if you are using that Tmog thats why you hear it.

It is possible to mute specific voice lines (like the Mute Repetitive Brann addon for delves) but I don’t know how it’s done or how involved it would be to accomplish otherwise.
Edit: Mute Repetitive Brann lets you add custom sound IDs to mute. You should be able to find all of the ones you don’t want from Aluneth here:
