My frost mage is kind of a wimp and can’t get past the final boss statue at the end. How can I make Myritt bail on that quest and just take me somewhere else? I’ll gladly lose the week’s dig map, but it’s pointless to keep throwing my frost mage against this quest.
Or do I just forget the Myritt dig quests for this alt?
I’m not sure if it’s possible to abandon a dig, but regarding frost mage tips to complete, make sure you’re using all your defensive abilities. Mirror images reduces damage you take and also removes threat while they’re alive. Use your shield and also the talent that makes you heal through ice block (cryo freeze, it’s helpful since you can reset the cooldown of ice block through cold snap). Alter time allows you to teleport back to original location and health, but it’s tricky to use. There are some other healing and movement speed buffs you can experiment with, but I know you are limited to some degree in your overall selection.
I’m not sure if these work on this particular mob, but frost nova to root the mob while blinking away and the mage tree has a knock back (blast wave) and disorient (dragon’s breath). You can put more talents into improving frost nova and ring of frost instead but any additional CC is good. Be sure to use icy veins and lust.

Many thanks, Marwenna. I reconfigured to use all the delay tactics you mentioned plus the ice block heal, and managed to kill the statue before I died.

I died on the Living Statue. When I returned, she was back and I tried again (I died). Now when I go back the two Golem are there but the living statue is gone. I’ve killed the golems but she (the statue) does not reappear. Any Ideas?
