My Wow Talent builds

I want to try Classic, and I have made characters for each class. I like to plane forward a bit on the talents, and now I wanted thoughts on them. I didn’t know if I should put it here or on the classes form. Also, I plan to do PvE stuff as a DPS with these builds. I’m also looking for suggestions on which race would go great with these builds.
Shaman, Warlock, Hunter, Balance Druid or Feral Tank/DPS Druid, Mage Need help deciding what tree to go down., Paladin, Warrior, Priest,Rogue

In Classic if you’re looking for “Best” for PVE DPS, then Warrior really is the best way to go.

If you don’t care about best, then Mage and Rogue are good options. Hunters aren’t all that great for DPS in Classic, but they’re kings in TBC, so that’s something to consider.

For TBC you can kinda play just about anything, some classes arent there because their DPS is spectacular but because the raid buffs that they bring are just too good to pass up. In the case of TBC the average players can quite literally play what ever they like, I mean with some reasonable expectations, like don’t expect to DPS as a Prot paladin or something silly like that.

You have way too many builds up there to review, bring it down to like 2 or 3 favorites and then consult the class specific discords, they can really help out a lot.

Classic WoW right now is kinda in a strange limbo between Classic and TBC farming naxx out. So if you’re really interested in Classic woW proper consider starting now and then getting ready for either Classic “forever realms” or go to TBC.

Enjoy.

Your paladin build is missing some key PvE talents.

Here is the “cookie cutter” PvE Ret build: https://classicdb.ch/?talent#sE0zZxhZvf0tbcqo

Here is the build I use, since I also PvP: https://classicdb.ch/?talent#sxxzZVuZvb0trcqo

Note: 3/3 Vindication is strong in PvP – especially in WSG against Druid flag carriers – but is entirely useless in PvE because mobs do not have STR and AGI stats; so it is actually “harmful” as it uses up a debuff slot, without providing any benefit.

I don’t really agree with either one of those builds.

You straight up don’t need repent in a PVE build. And you straight up don’t need need consecration in a PVP build.

Improved HoJ is the single strongest PVP build to go with.

PvE build: sure, you could put the single point in Improved Lay on Hands or Guardian’s Favor instead of Repentance, for example, or finish Benediction.

My build: is a general purpose build. But Reckoning/Ret is not the only Ret PvP build, and if you are not going Reckoning, then you absolutely should have Consecration. I cannot count how many times I have ruined Rogue openers with Rank 1.

I don’t play reckoning and still never get bested by rogues even without consecration.

If human, you have perception, if dwarf yo have stoneform for blind.

And if in a BG you’ll have sac up for saps.

It’s not just about saving me. Smoking out a rogue for others to see, plus the surprise factor for the rogue, is often enough to send the Rogue running (if he isn’t insta-gibbed). At minimum he has to use more cooldowns to handle the turn of events.
