I have chosen my covenant, gone back to the Maw, campaign is up to where I need to upgrade my Sanctum and… nothing, the portal is just gone.
I have been there once during the campaign, gone back to the Maw for the intro quest to learn about the Jailer, what could I be missing?
Keep going. The campaign sends you back to Torghast and makes it a regular access thing after that point.
I don’t even know how to keep going, I have no idea where to find Redeemed Souls?
Oh hmm, maybe you’re not where I thought you were. What’s the name of the quest you’re on? I assumed a certain point based on “upgrade my sanctum” but …

I’ve been to Torghast once already during the campaign, but got no souls out of it.
Okay so you are where I thought you are. However … I had souls already from playing through the campaign and I am not sure why you don’t. Torghast unlocks fully shortly after this stage. You get the souls from the Maw/from a quest. Might need to hop over to support or submit a bug report, sorry. 
Fun times, 2 days or more I reckon before I get some help, and $10 says the GM will tell me “Go head to wowhead”.
You don’t get souls from Torghast, they are scattered around the maw and show up as little ghosts on your minimap. You are competing with others for the souls btw.

I’ve been back to the maw like 20 times now, there is nothing left there for me aside from farming rares, there are no quests, no souls, nothing but death.
A quick Google shows a lot of people having this issue after they swapped covenants. Blue post from ~9hrs ago said they’d tried hotfixing it. Did you swap/did you check support forums to see if you can find more info? General won’t be able to help you past telling you the way it normally works.
No didn’t swap at all. But I did figure it out, I dropped The First new Growth and started it again and look at that 5 souls out of nowhere. On top of the lag issues OCE has been getting, we have had the worst 3 days so far of SL.
You know back in the day this would have warranted free game time for all the problems we have been facing.
If you’d checked support forums instead of wasting time on GD, they were telling people to do that, the hotfix specifically made it so people would get “catch-up” souls. What do you need free game time for? It’s working fine for most of us and they’re hustling to fix the things that don’t.
The fix was talking about players who changed covenants, which I did not, I simply progressed, chose my covenant and done all the quests as I should have and got no souls. The free game time used to be awarded due to combination of bugs, lag, disconnect and unable to even connect issues. And as it has been so far almost the entire time SL for OCE and some EU servers we have major lag issues.
i have the same issue. have that torghast quest and there’s no portal there. abandoned ALL quests even the covenant ones and restarted game+ went to oribos and back to maw, and still no portal.
