Stuck Character, Cannot Move - Blizzard Support

Unstuck feature in-game help menu. Usually happens when you get feared into the ground or into a wall. It will bring up a list of all your characters so you can do it from an alt.

If the stuck character service doesn’t work you’ll have to put in a ticket.

wouldnt work if they cant log in. Or get disconnected on login.

As others said, the character unstuck self service should do the trick.

Just keep in mind that if you’re stuck in a DC Loop because you were mucking around with breaking out of invisible walls / map borders and such that the service has a pretty hefty CD, you’re realistically going to get 1 unstuck a day unless you do one pretty early in the day.

So don’t go throwing your mains and active alts into holes in the map if you are going to need them soon.

You can use the feature from the website as well.

And they said you can just do it from an alt because you’re selecting from a list of characters anyway (which is the same as how it works on the website).

DC traffic is awful, I always tell people just to park elsewhere and take the Metro.

ah, i did not know that. Better and better.

I have you try renaming your WTC and Cache folders to WTCOld and CacheOld?

I’ve been stuck in a dc loop before but logging onto another character or two and then coming back to the original one has always fixed the problem for me.

if that doesn’t work, like others have said, maybe put in a ticket.

If nothing else works you can post in Customer Service and a Blue may move your character for you. They did it for me last year when Unstuck did not work.

+1 for this suggestion… worked for me the few times my characters has been stuck in a DC-on-login loop.

This has happened to me once or twice when coming out of a Delve and getting disconnected during loading. As others like Lorelai suggested, using the character stuck tool is the best route to go.

Fairly certain you can also do it offline via Blizzard’s website if for some reason you cannot log into another character online. Unless I’m mistaken, but I thought there was an alternative put in place just in case.

I had this happen to a friend in M+ in siege. We were on the bridge after you hop across the boats and he charged mobs and it just tossed him under the bridge and he got chain DCed and died.

We were able to get a rez on him and he was able to spam accept fast enough on the 4th attempt and then he was back. Sometimes charge/blink pathing just acts weird.

Oh yeah, for sure. I figured that’s more likely, but figured I’d mention it because if he WAS “exploring”, depending on what he’s doing it’s definitely possible to get multiple characters stuck in DC Loops at once and then you’re just kinda stuck waiting on the CD for days.

Also, you can try Scan and Repair tool under the Options menu in Battle.Net

Tbh I wouldn’t go that far.

If the help character stuck option doesn’t work. Log into another toon for about half an hour or so. Sometimes it just needs a bit to fully logout to reset your location.

I had this same issue in Dornogal a few months back where I couldn’t login to my main at all. Had a Game Master that verified they could login to my main correctly without getting disconnected.

Ended up being a corrupted AddOn that was causing the issue. So you might want to try doing a full UI reset to see if this corrects the issue for you. You may also want to delete all of your AddOn’s as well and then try installing one AddOn at a time to see which AddOn may be causing this.

If all else fails, I would uninstall the game and then reinstall it completely. Before you reinstall make sure to delete all WoW files in your directories.

I also recommend asking for assistance on the Technical Support Forum to see if anyone there could assist you there as well in resolving your issue.
