My thoughts on pathfinder

I know so many threads about this. I am for it and do not have a problem with it.

With that said I do have a problem with way it is setup. Namely the amount of time between pathfinder I & II. I suggest to combined the 2 together, so as not have to wait over a year for flying.

I mean after a year of doing wq’s, getting to world bosses, farming herbs/ore, its safe to say we have ALL seen the zones, did the content. Making us wait over a year is just too long.

I would like to see maybe making pathfinder I little harder, say exalted with the factions and few other things, then after that’s complete, let us start working on pathfinder II.

I am avid wq’s farmer, mount farmer etc. I have 11 max toons. I feel like I should unsub till pathfinder II comes out. I mean there isn’t much to do, and way Blizzard rewards players for unsubbing (catch up system) and not rewarding players for staying active, is just not fair. I say give us flying sooner rather than later.

That’s my 2 cents.

Or, and I might just be nuts here… Just have Pathfinder that we can work on from the start that immediately unlocks flying for all zones after completion. Crazy, I know.
Have Pathfinder Parts 2, 3, etc… For other major patches.

Or, crazy thought here, just go back to the TBC/WotLK model and just let players purchase flying with gold.

Hell you can even keep pathfinder in for those who dont want to spend gold, let them run around on the ground for a year chasing nonsense around. Let me pay some gold and be done with it.

that’s kind of what I was leaning towards. Been over year since I finished pathfinder I now have to wait over a year, then 2 weeks after it drops, to get pathfinder II. Everything is irreverent by then.

I hate when trying to get to wq find it is on other side on hill that I have to run around, with 10 things beating on me. After over a year of this it gets old fast.

WotLK was the best iteration for flying I think, you quested on the ground for the majority of it then to finish the questlines through storm peaks and icecrown you had to get flying to continue, I’d gladly pay 20k gold for account wide flying if it meant having it immediately at max level or whatever.

My two cents:

The problem isn’t the work; it’s the wait. Part 1 should award flying in X.1 for Base Expansion Zones, with Part 2 covering those added in X.2.

That’s what my post was about, the wait. I don’t care about working for it.

Only if they replicate the relative cost. I’m thinking a minimum of 2 million gold.

I’m down with that. Its stupid easy to make gold anymore in this game.

Because Blizzard wants the xpac to be a half a year of none flying at this point of time. Its what they call their agreement to letting flying to remain in the game at all.

Or have Part 1 award flying in the initial expansion zones while Part 2 awards flying in new zones. But yeah, anything to avoid having to wait nearly a year to finally unlock flying. Especially when we’re most likely not going to get any content that relies on flying.

It wasn’t nearly that expensive to just unlock flight in WotLK or MoP. The flight licenses for those expansions was more than covered by what you earned while leveling up. So, to replicate it accurately, would probably put the cost somewhere around 7k gold.

yeah…blizzard has no care in the world for players who farm.
If they did they wouldnt play games with such a stupid thing as a mode of travel.

Yea, every capital city should be like our Garrisons where we had the instanced mine and herb garden, only instead of once a day, they should just be on 10s respawn timers so we can just farm, farm, and farm up and down without having to go anywhere. Even better put the nodes in a circle, so all we have to do is click after a short RP walk from the inn.

Or even better, just a big button on a wall that we can just click over and over and over, reducing farming complaints to being limited to GCD.

That’s another good idea!
