This would work very simple. Lets say I have a 360 iLevel trinket X and I run the dungeon where trinket X drops because I want a better version… so I run a +10… many times… the smart system would not force it to drop, that would be bad, but if it was going to drop, it would see I have it already and thus simply upgrade the one I have with a chance of how good that upgrade is. There really is nothing more deflating than running a 10 M+ 20+ times only to get the exact item you already have. It sucks big time.
Also, a suggestion for raiding. Sanguicel is total BS… crafting mats for professions I don’t have from difficult bosses is some kind of cruel joke.
Thank You!
Im a little confused. Are you saying you have a M+10 trinket already?
I have a 365 from an M+10 yes, but it can forge up to 380 or 385, weekly chest 395 I believe…
Oh okay I see. I mean, that would be a nice thing to have especially if you were raiding and it did the same thing. My concern with it is that in a way it could force players to have to keep running the same thing over and over again which I am sure most players dont want to do that but then again its not like rng is any better lol
This would not force it, they already are forced to do that if they want a better item… I ran Shrine of the Storm 20+ times trying to upgrade my trinket, only to get the exact same or worse version of it… we’re talking weeks spent, thousands of gold, lots of time, it’s not fun. At least my system would mean the hard work was made worthwhile.
I see. I get what you mean. Well always remember blizzard seems to favor rng a lot lol.

Right, and RNG means less choices for players which means less fun.
You could even make optional quests to upgrade gear incrementally, so one is not forced to run a dungeon over and over.
They had a similar thing like that in MoP when we still had valor points. But they removed that after.
Yeah I think a lot of people are not happy with the removal of tier sets and coins to have more choices of getting what you need so you’re not a slave to RNG.
